What Measure of U.S. Response Do You Support When China Moves on Taiwan?

There can be no doubt China will make a formal move to “re-unify” Taiwan before 2030, either politically or militarily.
The US has stopped short of saying whether we would come to Taiwan’s military aid, but it is safe to say we would do something.
Our allies in the region (particularly Japan and Australia) see a move on Tawain as an existential threat that would not be tolerated.
Here’s a brief overview of the military capabilities of the PRC:
1. World’s largest navy (400+ ships by 2025, including 3 carriers). This does not include the unknown number of merchant marine vessels PRC would be able to militarize on short notice.
2. Largest air force in the Indo-Pacific region, including hundreds of Gen4/5 fighters.
3. A survivable nuclear triad.
4. Long-range ballistic missiles capable of evading western counter measures.
5. Unmatched cyber capabilities to conduct asymmetric warfare.
What measure of a response are you willing to support if/when the PRC moves on Taiwan?
Keep in mind this is something the next president will likely have to respond to.

I’d say we immediately send the military to our own border. Then we start manufacturing our own chips.

Doubtful if Trump is elected...
If 89+million vote for Biden, we deserve what is coming...

Sell Taiwan nukes and stay away.
Far far away.
Far far away.

Good question. I wonder if the America First patriots will flip from their Ukraine position. I follow some anti-war left and libertarian types and they feel the only real difference between the two parties is the Rs want to be more China hawks.
Oh, and why is China aggressively surrounding itself with U.S. bases?
I mean, if the economy is going to collapse without Taiwanese chips, I guess we have to act. But, I don't like it.

Complete 100% economic warfare. Boycott all Chinese products and companies. Boycott all nations who do not join the US boycott. Confiscate all Chinese money and goods that we can lay our hands on. This will bring China to its knees quickly.
Trump started the process of insulating ourselves from China. We have been strategically reshoring critical things. Fortunately this was one of the only Trump policies that dodo continued. Keep doing that. China is racing to position itself to strike and we are racing to position ourselves for economic warfare. We should win this one easily.

I don't want my sons over there, so sell them however much they want to buy to defend themselves from China, and wish them good luck.
If we really want to keep China out of Taiwan, pass a bill that says should China invade, we cut our trade with China by 75%, and put a 100% tariff on any American product produced in China, regardless of what it does to our economy.

We allowed them to grow and strengthen, we would need a "greatest generation" effort and resolve to stop them. We don't have enough of those kinds of folks anymore nor the will to win a real war.

We should go warp speed on building super chip production capabilities here, at home so it's not such an issue. Kinda like Ukraine, Tawain once was part of China. It's none of our fricking business. Neither is Ukraine. We're trying to save the world while our country is quickly becoming a failed state

Not true.
Whether Ukraine was ever part of Russia is a tougher question.
But Taiwan was never part of China. It’s a myth propagated in their domestic and international propaganda (sounds like it’s working, apparently).

If Trump wins they won't make a move.
If Biden wins we should do nothing because he'll just frick it up and make things worse.

Lol
If Trump wins they won't make a move. Nobody is scared of Trump. Trump on his knees in front of Putin in their secret meeting. I swear, you lowly educated individuals.
