Yes its cleaned up mostly. The new convention center, OMNI hotel and huge city park are really top notch (west downtown).

Looking back east view:

I will say our Mayor is a RINO but its better than a Leftist commie. OKC is the 2nd or 3rd largest city land wise and still has strong red values. I always worry about too fast growth and OKC is the only major city to grow by 100K+ for the last 2 sets of 10 years (01-10 and 11-20).

We passed laws like if you are no permit protesting in road and someone fears life they can legally run your arse over this law rose from burn loot murder days.

Fun fact: Oklahoma has not had one blue county in presidential elections since 2000.

Most of your great conservative cities are in the 75-150k population range, though. The big cities have become prog shitholes.

Is Scottsdale the conservative part of PHX proper or is that Mesa?

a big company i worked with (but not for) in the past built a giant new campus in SD. kinda did the whole google thing with beer, slides, open ceiling concept.

i was there for a partner conference. IDGAF about all the ribbon cutting and what not so i was in the building drinking with some engineers. we were upstairs and a tad loose and i rode the slide down with beer in hand trying not to spill and when i landed, the Mayor of SD was doing an interview right in front of the slide. i came down with a shite eating grin having no clue they were there. The news decided to leave that in there.

talked to the mayor after we had a laugh. republican and a good baw.

San diego was suprrisingly conservative for sure. It's got a very independent desert vibe to it thats different from the rest of california. Some of that is to their betterment, some of it is not. Downtown and gaslamp are pretty dead compared to the past and filled with homeless camps. Still pretty nice, especially the north county san diego.

That "virus" is basically high tech employers moving to areas with low taxes.

You really think high tech employers are coming into every single city in the US and turning them blue?

Many of those cities are blue bc normal middle class people fled to the suburbs to escape prog policies and Democrat ghettos.

You mean the blue county east of Houston?

That’s Jefferson County (Beaumont). Vidor is in Orange County.

Used to be but Duval County voted blue in 2020 for the first time in decades. Most likely from all the northerners that have moved there in recent years.

Not that it’s some conservative stronghold, but San Diego bats about .500 over the last 50 years with republican mayors. Again, it’s not like the South but it’s probably significantly more conservative than most of that list historically speaking.

That is less true than they just don't want the liberal mass that is coming in from California, and bringing the same mindset that has destroyed California.

Not Columbus Ohio.

Not one republican elected official in Franklin County.

Everyone is a Demorat.

Crime is up. Shootings and killings are at record levels.
