According to 2020 census:
1 New York City
2 Los Angeles
3 Chicago
4 Houston
5 Phoenix
6 Philadelphia
7 San Antonio
8 San Diego
9 Dallas
10 San Jose
I don’t think any of those could be majority conservative. Phoenix maybe the best bet followed by Dallas?
11 Austin
12 Jacksonville
13 Fort Worth
14 Columbus
15 Indianapolis
16 Charlotte
17 San Francisco
18 Seattle
19 Denver
20 Oklahoma City
Jacksonville & Fort Worth have been mentioned. Indianapolis could be one maybe. And there’s Oklahoma City.
21 Nashville
22 El Paso
23 Washington DC
24 Boston
25 Las Vegas
26 Portland
27 Detroit
28 Louisville
29 Memphis
30 Baltimore
Nashville seems to be chasing after Austin. I don’t think any of those apply.
31 Milwaukee
32 Albuquerque
33 Tucson
34 Fresno
35 Sacramento
36 Mesa
37 Kansas City
38 Atlanta
39 Omaha
40 Colorado Springs
Fresno is conservative, I think; out in the Central Valley, away from the crazies. There’s Mesa & Colorado Springs. What about Omaha & KC?
41 Raleigh
42 Miami
43 Virginia Beach
44 Long Beach
45 Oakland
46 Minneapolis
47 Tulsa
48 Wichita
49 Bakersfield
50 Tampa
Someone mentioned Miami, not sure if sarcastic or not. Not sure about Virginia Beach, could see it be either side. Pretty sure Wichita & Bakersfield are conservative. Not sure about Tampa but I would think left of center.

Literally every precinct in the area went blue in 2020
Sadly there are no conservative major cities. Even Anchorage was solidly blue in 2020

I also think this is the only thing keeping the country from breaking apart. The political divide is not as much geographical as it is is urban/rural

A couple have mentioned Salt Lake City.
It’s pretty small, similar to Birmingham, Baton Rouge, Knoxville, Little Rock. It’s the 122nd largest city.

And SLC is not even conservative anymore. It might be the most conservative though

Oklahoma City is far more progressive than people generally think. Combination of being next to more progressive suburbs like Edmond and Norman, and another shift happened after they got their basketball team.
Still a conservative city, but the Karens and Kevins are increasing in numbers. As you can see below, Oklahoma and Canadian Counties are trending towards purple, though still red at this time.

City proper? There's no way SLC is 122nd MSA.

Pretty sure Jacksonville is the largest city with a Republican mayor.

I’ll take up for my city, Fresno.
Republican mayor (former police chief), DA & Sheriff. We haven’t had a dem mayor since.. I don’t recall to be honest. Devin Nunes was my rep.
We have In God We Trust hanging above the city council. That ruffled some feathers.
Agriculture is the engine to the economy around here and that is overwhelmingly dominated by republicans.
We have the largest Veteran’s Day parade west of the Mississippi.
Churches are everywhere and active in the community.

Going city proper here.
But by metro, Salt Lake City is 46th in ranking with about 1.2M, similar to New Orleans, Louisville, Richmond.

Dallas and conservative should never be used together in a sentence with the exception of this response.

Yeah I’ve thought that Fresno, Bakersfield, and far Northern California are all conservative enclaves.

You mean the blue county east of Houston?
No. Vidor is in the very, red county of Orange. On the map you posted the blue county is Jefferson.
Dang.

so true. Huntsville is still very conservative, but the larger it gets the bluer it goes. it's a virus. no 2 ways about it.

It really is two different worlds out here. It’s just that the coastal areas have the numbers.
Posted on 6/8/22 at 10:38 am to LuckyTiger
City of Dallas fell about 25 years ago. About 15 for the county, though the county is not as bad as the city. Fort Worth (Tarrant) is probably the biggest in Texas.
