If we were directly involved, we could definitely expel Russia from Ukraine within a week, imo.
But, we're not trying to really help Ukraine win. We're just trying to draw it out as long as possible. The longer the war lasts, the more dents and dings we can give Russia. It just sucks that we're sacrificing Ukrainian Patriots just so we can give Russia some dents and dings.

Anyone who thought that the Ukraine could win this war with only logistical and material support from the west is an idiot. I don’t care if you are a 4 star general or any other military expert. At some point every ear boils down to how many armed PEOPLE you can bring to bear against your opponent. Ukraine doesn’t have enough , on its own, as it relates to Russia. The Nazis held all of European Russia at one point , but couldn’t hold on primarily due to lack of relative manpower (yes I know the armament production gap existed). The fact remains that Russia can sacrifice an endless supply of humans and not blink an eye. Ukraine has a finite number. At some point this number will be so low that they will be overwhelmed despite the supplies and technology the west provides.

We have to help Ukraine try and win this war. Too much is at stake if Russia can just start taking over countries and territory that they think belongs to them. Things can escalate very quickly in territorial wars and helping Ukraine against Russia, and holding Russia accountable for their actions, without getting our military involved, is the best way to handle this. This thing was going to go two ways, and helping Ukraine is the lesser of two evils. You have to set your political opinions aside to see this for what it is.

I don't. I think the military is getting rid of a bunch of outdated equipment, practicing shipping equipment around the world for a prolonged fight, ie in China, and testing new equipment in the field.

This, many bring up the "cruelty" of the Russian troops. They remembered, very fresh in their memory what the Germans had done to millions of russian citizens.

He did 100 times the damage, and many times over the deaths of what the two bombs caused.
