What new developments will flip that switch in their heads that they they don’t need it? Are they waiting for zero cases?

Mask wearing indoors is still at about 85% in my liberal area.
I think most people wearing masks are waiting for everybody else to take off their masks. It’s always been about conforming to the group rather than actual fear over COVID.

Flew Southwest this past weekend at the flight attendants were on a mask wearing power trip. Basically telling everyone that you must put it on between bites/sips.
Freaking ridiculous.

saw a lady visiting my mountain town in mass yesterday with 2 masks and a face shield. Then of course she kept them on when she got into her car alone.

I've seen families outdoors where 2 of the 6 have them on and one of those is wearing it improperly. I don't know what the point if that could be. They don't appear to be virtue signaled either. Just people out at an amusement park.

Because I’m forced to wear a needless mask (vaccinated 2/21) on a flight, and rebreathe my own filth, which is dangerous to my health, needlessly.

They’ve been ditched pretty fast in the most liberal parts of Houston. The grocery stores are the last places I see people wearing them and those folk are usually minorities.

Quite honestly... I think most of the folks that continue to wear a mask are those that like to be told what to do and are willingly led around by the nose...
