A title does not grant anyone "respect". Actions gain respect.

Should it garner disrespect? Absolutely not, but disrespect was not shown in this instance. I believe the response was more indifference.

I was going to say...Burr/Hamilton, Preston Brooks, Indiana State House, Benjamin Tillman...

This has nothing to do with right wing media and, if you honestly believe this, you're hopeless.

Information on what may or may not be going on with this administration is readily available on line. There are too many lies and no answers to things like the NSA, IRS and selectively enforcing laws. It's frustrating as hell.

Its times like this taking a counter view would be helpful if want any degree of objectivity. Ask yourself "what has Obama done to deserve such an icy reception?"

If your answer is "nothing"... You're delusional.

He is a failed president, and the worst in my lifetime, but in that arena he deserved better IMO. Oh well, I guess respect is earned...

Perhaps he deserves better just for getting elected. Bottom line is they gave him the bare minimum.

Because they didnt cheer for things they disagree with they are disrespecting the President? DS you need to come back to reality.

Also a position doesnt give you respect. It can give you authority but not respect. True respect must be earned. Should they respect the President's authority, yes. Respect him, hell no.

You can have your political opinions and that's fine, but there was a time in this country when people, especially at a place like West Point, would give proper respect for the office.

This POS has earned no respect - hell, you don't even respect him. You are only concerned that he is fulfilling the progressive dream.

IF he had made an address that was respective of the office himself, then he, representing that office, would have received all due respect.

But no - that bastard could only use the graduation address at West Point to push his f'ing agenda. Nothing about what he said deserved respect.

He shite the bed.

again.

So I take it that you're a moral relativist? Because how "respectable" someone is or isn't is completely in the eye of the beholder.
how about take your contrived internet superiority and shove it up your arse :)

Apparently not clapping enough as if they were attending a speech by the General Secretary of the Communist Party.

Predicable response. Some of you on here are so consumed with anger and bitterness towards Obama....and look I'm not saying I think he's a good President or anything because I don't....but you're so consumed by this stuff that's being pumped out to you by the right wing media that you've completely lost any sense of decency. Then take his balls off your chin.
And when did CNN become right wing media?
If the commander and chief doesn't get a standing O at West Point there is something not right.
