Fair point, but why even posture with the "all men are created equal" and "to establish justice" bs?

Because it is true. It was true then, too. It took LESS THAN A CENTURY to get it completely abolished. Having those words about equality and justice definitely helped.

Ever think those words were included purposely, knowing that the fledgling nation didn't measure up... yet? Aspirational.

No, it doesn't. It shows that you are incapable of looking at history in an objective, non-judgemental manner. Nor are you capable of viewing the Declaration of Independence using historical context. The problem lies with your perspective, not the past.

I know you lack intelligence so let me explain it to you: your support for abortion is in direct contrast to your fake moral outrage over slavery

Why are you telling me I support abortion? You seem to think you are intelligent so what evidence informed your statement?

You’re using a logical fallacy called presentism, which is viewing the past in light of the present. We all have hindsight the founders couldn’t possibly have had.

In a couple of hundred years, future societies may be judging us who live in 2025 based on their norms. Will we pass their test? We can’t possible know since we don’t know what the future norms will be.

Imagine believing that your personal emotions are more important and intellectually superior to some of the smartest men that ever existed?! That’s a level of self delusion that cannot be calculated and pretty common on the Left. Feelings and emotions are more important than logic and supersede common sense

Does it ever get exhausting pretending as if you’re a savior of the black community?

Lol like she or anyone else on the Left has ever read or could even comprehend the Federalist Papers. A comic book or coloring book would be more up to their speed

Let’s make a quick comparison. Marxism and socialism were thought(by its implementers) to be a good political system when it first began. In one century(20th) it caused the deaths of hundreds of millions of its own citizens. That shows you how hard it is to develop a good system of government. It’s not easy.

Can we bring back slavery then, if it has the potential to be just in American society?

You say you are trying to view through the lens of that period. First of all that’s nearly impossible as personal biases won’t allow.

You're right. Just as the "veil of ignorance" is unattainable. We can try, though.

You could instead maybe wonder why todays black community lives a more destructive lifestyle than 1960, it would at least have a more understandable view

I have ideas that trigger the majority of this board around that.

The revolutionary claim that “all men are created equal” coexisted with the enslavement of millions, the Constitution’s call to “establish justice” was constrained by legal structures that codified inequality, and the Pledge’s promise of “justice for all” has never applied to those systematically excluded from full citizenship. Even celebrating "Independence Day" while slavery was a legal practice in this country is such a mindfrick.

You sound like a Public High School teacher reading his State mandated syllabus written for you to teach. 40 years of 8th grade talking points in your post.

You are insufferable, if you hate this country so much, leave. Nobody is forcing you and your ilk to remain.

Are you stating that you are anti-abortion and pro-life? Is that your position? That abortion should be outlawed to protect the life of a child. That’s your position?
