Just like he is being played by the Iranians. But he is "Trump" and Trump can never be wrong. He could never be talked into endorsing another swamp creature like Cassidy by some slimey Governer with a faux cajun accent.

Oh frick you. I voted for Trump
And support him, but I voted for
Fleming. Turnout was garbage. Don’t blame those who voted. Blame everyone who didn’t. I agree he’s getting played by the Gov and Letlow. But we voted out Cassidy. We can vote this broad out too. Like someone else said, it ain’t her first two years that concern me. It’s the years after Trump is gone.

Fleming found out what Massie found out, social media support does not equal votes

Louisiana voters are ignorant. Trump is still well liked. I think he shite the bed with this endorsement, but knew she would win with Trumps endorsement.

Absolutely not. And he'd be done in 6 years and we'd have a chance at better candidates after.

Based off of Cassidy is a douche. You voted for Cassidy in May?

I voted Fleming twice. Letlow is no more conservative than Cassidy. Another RINO.

She ran a despicable campaign running lies about Fleming. She’s trash. I won’t vote for her in November.

As expected, also looks like very low voter turnout.

Well, yeah.

Not many people gave a shite about which bad candidate would win.

Fleming went all in on the idea that he could stop CCS when in fact he cannot do anything other than become a pariah since Trump not only supports it but announced the 4 clean coal plant that the DOE is paying for the carbon capture part

The numerous veterans who retired to St. Tammany Parish (one of the largest retirement destination for veterans in the US) remembered that Fleming screwed over Navy Vietnam Vets.

Maybe. How about I give her the benefit of the doubt first? She wasn’t my first choice but I’m willing to see.

You just made my point, moron. They are exempt...
Oh, and btw, where did I say "retired".
More idiots arguing with themselves.

Point being, non of the actors in the pkay were required to use the federally MANDATED product.

Again, breath and just let that marinate before you let the sgit outta your mouth

So Trump had a choice of the guy who voted to impeach him, a soon to be octogenarian that might not even be alive next election, or a young candidate who has won all of her elections with >65% of the vote and will do WTF she is told to do.

This comment shows me exactly how Letlow won this. You think it was a good idea for Trump to endorse her on the basis that she's younger, for one, which is not a good reason to endorse a bad candidate, and second, because she's "going to do what she's told".

I've seen a number of comments tonight suggesting that she'll do what she's told. What on Earth gives anyone the impression that this liberal woman wearing an "R" next to her name is going to do what Trump tells her? Trump got bad advice from someone who doesn't have conservative interests at heart, and he clearly didn't do his own research. And as long as he was willing to give his endorsement, she wasn't going to screw her chances by turning down his support. Once she's in office, she's going to do what she's told by the same progressive people who she has sided with all along in her career, and will do nothing to back Trump's agenda, because she's never shared his agenda, in the first place.

This was a game to get in power for her. She doesn't need Trump anymore. We've seen this exact playbook, over and over again. Only her campaign doesn't actually have a conservative background to run on, she just has "Trump endorsed me". And people ate it up. Her campaign ran straight up lies in their attack ads, and people fell for it. It's pathetic.

Letlow walked away with it but I don't care. I voted my conscience for Fleming so I'll feel justified in bitching to the moon and back about Julia if she ends up being a RINO/shill.

I can’t wait for her campaign ads to stop.

Her smile is creepy in one of them.

Does she have a husband?

You think she isn't 100% beholden to Trump? And that is all he cares about. Trump endorsing her was about holding power over a senator in a chamber of congress that has been tough sledding for him.

He has no power over her. She doesn’t face an election again for six years, when Trump will be 86 and no longer in the public eye.

That’s the thing. I voted for Fleming in the first round, but I didn’t show up for this round because I really don’t see much difference between the two and Fleming is too old to serve, in my opinion.

He they won’t pass the SAVE Act. He’s endorsing people who will back him and push his agenda.

There’s absolutely zero chance of the next Congress passing the SAVE Act, so not sure how that’s a factor.

Of course, Trump already used it as an excuse to not sign the housing bill that’s going to be law regardless. Because why take a W when you can force an L.

I don’t get the shock from Political Talk on this. I thought it would be closer, but Fleming didn’t do anything to seperate himself from Letlow.

And letlow had Trumps backing, a bigger campaign, and is younger. All those factors are really important.

If you’re mad, be mad at Trump for endorsing letlow.
