The entitlement here is crazy. As if you "deserve" to be here more than those who actually struggled, migrated, paid, learned, and did everything as required by law to be a citizen here. Why? Because you happened to be born at the correct latitude and longitude? They earned their citizenship. Moreso than 90% of native born Americans.

Sorry, bud. An immigrant paid 10k and learned the bill of rights. They’re the real Americans.

no clue but frick him

on my paternal side I can trace it back to 1746 when the son of the Lord Treasurer of England was sent to North Carolina on my Dads Dad side. on his mom side i can trace it back to Pre-1750

On both sides I can trace my family history back to Louisiana prior to the declaration of independence and well before the Louisiana Purchase.

Im sorry have become radicalized on this shite. Everywhere I look its becoming worse and worse in Louisiana. Used to be only Houston was like this not if you go into actual Houston, not in rice village or river oaks and it feels like a different country all together

DFW is the same. dont even get me started on Frisco.

I try to pass up foreign-owned gas stations now. I go to the new Quick Trip or Sam's in Lake Charles

I will be honest and say no group bothers me as much as Indians.

The Vietnamese at the casinos are rude but they back down if you tell them to back up and get out of your way.

Mexicans have never really bothered me. Maybe because they have been here for so long now I am used to it. Haitians are scammers, though.

That being said, its time to pause it all for a decade as I said earlier.

Cajun’s are the worst immigrants. Insular. Churlish. Won’t readily assimilate to our language and customs. Have no problem deceiving outsiders.

Best thing Louisiana ever did was ban teaching French in Louisiana schools and force assimilation.

i live near port close to where you use to live so i would have to go to the other side of town unfortunately.

while we are on the subject...been seeing this picture on X all over asking people to respect Ramadan...

Yea frick your Ramadan. Their god isnt my god, frick them. Ill be busy eating bacon daily during Ramadan whenever the frick that is. Because frick them and frick bowing down to them.

SO tired of pussies acting like we need to change our culture to accommodate them, no they need to change to become Americans. Their cultures are dog shite and weak, we didnt become the worlds superpower by doing that. People talking like that are suicidal with empathy.

DEPORT THEM ALL!!!

Pausing immigration until we sort out a merit based system is the only answer. Oh, and while we continue to deport any one not here legally.

My grandparents were none of those things

They did speak Cajun French, but they grew up dirt poor and never asked for handouts. My grandpa fought in the Korean War at 16 years old. He made $44 every two weeks for his service. He kept $5 for himself and sent the rest to his mom and dad to help feed his 8 younger siblings.

They assimilated better than any group today does.

I can agree with that. Cajuns were not good immigrants to start, neither were the Italians but alot of that was how they were treated when they showed up and prior

but to be fair...that was before the country was established or before the country became what it became after WWII. So a tad different situation.

most was prior to 1900 when we really started coming into our own.

Completely different than today, those people helped build the greatest country the world has ever known vs coming in and riding coat tails.

Yep.

I am not advocating for a full-on stoppage forever. We can pause it for a decade with exceptions. Marriage, truly top of the line in their field that advances American excellence, etc

Yeah, saying Cajuns and Italians of today are anything like those kicked out of Nova Scotia or arriving on Ellis Island is naive.

Both still have their heritage pride, but both have sacrificed a lot for America and are American first

Italians, Irish, and Jews immigrated and it took them like 70 years to actually assimilate and be accepted (and they’re much closer to WASPs/Northern Europeans than anyone else) yet when we think brining in countless North Africans, middle easterners, and South Asians will go well

yea trying to compare immigration of today to prior to WW2 is disingenuous AF and is only done when they have an ulterior motive

its the only reason they do that.
