And pardon the good guys just in case they need it in the future.

I don’t feel super confident, but Roberts takes his role as protector of the Judiciary very seriously. If they keep doing this shite Trump will eventually rebel, and he’ll be justified. Maybe Trump just ignores one or two judges, and maybe we get through it that way, but once the precedent is set the Judiciary will always be on skates. I think Roberts will head that off.
