FDR may not have ended the Depression on his own, but he saved livelihoods and lives while the country was going through it,while also creating
needed reforms to the nation’s financial
system…

He and Churchill also defended and preserved Western Civilization during WWII…

The thing about W is he was dealt an awful tough hand. 9/11 derailed the goals of his presidency. Don't fool yourself, after 9/11 we were all ready to destroy and kill anything and everything in the ME. Add in a natural disaster in Katrina and the ticking time bomb in the mortgage industry that Clinton set up for him and W had some real big challenges that he had to react to. As the phrase goes, "mistakes were made".

Wilson, FDR, LBJ and Obama actively implemented policies that were destructive to this country. For that they stand above all as the worst.

Carter was just incompetent and Slow Joe was an invalid.

i have 65 years of historical perspective, how many do you have?

I think you are referring to age, in which you have me by one year. Now, one year might not seem like much, but I have made a career of poking fun at my wife for being one month older, so I’d be inconsistent if I didn’t defer to your year.

quote:

there wasn't a dimes worth of difference in terms of policy preferences between those four presidents.

congratulations boy you're an idiot.

Well, there goes the name-calling. A neutral observer might cringe at your assumption that my accusation of no historical perspective meant an inability to distinguish differences among Presidents spanning about three recent decades.

What I actually meant was that there were much worse presidents farther back in history. Jimmy Carter, for one. Your exclusion of anything more distant than 1988 reinforces my point that you have no historical perspective.

Sorry...there is no way on this green earth that there was ever a president as bad as Biden; the discussion is about second worse.

I think that W would have been an adequate (though unspectacular) president in the immediate aftermath of the Cold War. His presidency wasn’t a cake walk, and anyone would have made inevitable, consequential mistakes during the early 2000s. And lest we forget, every major mistake that happened during his presidency had Democrat backing, from the Iraq War to the recession in 2008. Even his response to Katrina looked even worse because of inept Democrats and Democratic policies at the state and local level.

That said, he was a bad president for his times. He made a lot of bad judgment calls, and ultimately left the country in much worse shape than when he inherited it. If that is the standard by which presidents are ultimately judged, then he was a failure.

I don't think he was the worst, and I bought into the war after 9/11, but looking back after I've been red-pilled on CIA/FBI/Govt/Contractors/Corps work together....he was bad.
Instead of a govt trying to get a handle on Social Security which was a hot topic, we end up going to war to blow a hole in budgets, create massive deficits, etc.
Ok I'm started to think he may have been the worst.

The Katrina response was good. It was the locals, Blanco and Nagin, that dropped the ball.

No. Biden was. W was up there. But Biden (or whoever was really running the country) wreaked almost near destruction in 4 short years.

Order of worst
1-Biden
2-Woodrow Wilson
3-FDR
4-Obama
5-LBJ
6-Big George
7-Little George

Almost every evil in the 20th Century can be traced directly back to GHWB, Wilson and FDR.

Nope, he's probably in the top 5 though. Biden is the worse. Carter, LBJ and Obama are there also.

When you learn of Precott, George Sr, and the Bush family lineage. Where their loyalties lie, why they were ever placed in the positions they were, by Skull and Bones, CIA, Puppet Masters, etc..

You fully understand they didn't fail, but yet fully accomplished their roles, and in the matriculation of that One World Order they wholeheartedly serve.

Obama had 12 years to fundamentally change the country. He succeeded for the worst.

How will Trump's second term be viewed to Biden, Obama and Carter? It's not positive folks.

To be fair most second term presidents turn into:

I can’t think of any presidents that have actually had a successful 2nd term free of scandal or negative issue that stained the office of president except for George Washington.
