There is a podcast (by a producer) 'behind the table' where Not-so-Sonny discussed this point.

In it you see -- Sonny knows and has been accessed of, fracturing the fairy-tale. She is clearly upset and says she expected Kamala to have an answer. She did have an answer and it was disastrous.

WE ALL owe a great thanks to Sonny - I would love to have her mailing address - to send a thank you card -- honestly, for helping expose Kam for what she was, and helping to save democracy.

She never had any momentum. Any that was perceived was manufactured by her friendly media

I’d contend the election results show that she never had any momentum outside her own echo chamber.

Like others have said, I’m not sure it’s one particular moment. She came out strong with the rah-rah Joy campaign. Once that wore off, she had nothing to back it up. She had no plan other than being a minority woman and OMB. The country wanted to hear how she would fix the inflation and make their lives better. She had nothing.

So, she hid for a bit. And then her popularity started waning. So, she started doing interviews, and her popularity really took a hit. So, she hid for a bit more. And this death spiral sealed her fate. The more she talked, the worse she looked. But, when she hid, the people grumbled about that, so she had to do more interviews, and so on and so on.

I’ve heard several commentators spout the excuse that she had so little time to actually campaign compared to typical candidates.

Every time she actually CAMPAIGNED she hemorrhaged votes.

She was the sitting VPOTUS. She had more time than most candidates to show exactly who she was.

Hostin was lamenting a few days ago about asking her that question. She said,” I was trying to give her a softball.” She went on to say, she asked the question again, hoping Kamala would change her answer, but she didn’t.

Yet Hostin still claims Trump was elected because America is racist and sexist…

What a moron.

There isn’t a defining moment in my opinion. She was doomed from the start.

She was picked for VP because of DEI. She was never popular at any point in the last 10 years. She really thought she was going to bob and weave and girl boss her way to the presidency.

In her defense she probably Thought she was going to get 5-10million mail in ballots.

You can't blame yourself when you throw a softball and somebody whiffs. Then whiffs again on the second chance.

Sonny deserves the elections' game ball for that question. It was clearly the beginning of the end.

Agreed. But also, her collapse was not completely real. The polls that showed her surging were faked as part of the campaign by the msm.

This. The real pollsters never had her or Biden ahead.

There were multiple points.

The media created a fake excitement about her. But it caught on.

As soon as she started talking it was over.

Yes the sonny Hoskins thing hurt her.

I honestly think the fox interview when she was just crushed actually hurt her among the independents. The liberals didn't care. The conservatives already hated her.
The middle saw she was empty.

She never had momentum. Polls are literally just there for drama and ratings. There was never a time when Kamala was ahead. Rush opened my eyes to this years ago

I don't know that she ever had momentum of her own, she was more like a thrown football that slowly runs out of energy from the throw and falls to the ground.
