Let’s say they drag this out for 18 months. Can they keep him from campaigning too?
Is the goal to just destroy him and guarantee a shoe in victory for Biden?
Or do they convict him quickly and try and lock him up for a year or more to keep him from running?
Legally, can a felon not run for office?

According to fox news...Apparently judge told trump not to say anything on social media that can incite violence or he may get a gag order. According to gov/msm/Democrats, every lil thing he says incites violence, so it's guaranteed that he'll be gagged..

And while they have control of institutions, a lot of those institutions are a shadow of themselves because they chased off everyone competent in favor of those who were loyal or who had the right skin color / genitals / political slant.

The fact that Bragg didn't include the underlying charges (the bases of his case) in the indictment pretty much answers that question. There will be defense motions to force him to reveal that in time but it will come behind the cover and protection of a gag order.
It is so obvious that was the plan here from the word go. They don't care about presenting and winning a case before a jury. This is about creating a publicity nightmare in the run up to an election and distracting the country's attention from the real issues.

1. No they haven’t. They have roundly criticized it. They hold the same amount of power in NY as you do. Why aren’t you doing more than criticizing it?
2. Trump has vilified every Republican who won’t kneel before him. If I was McConnell, for example, I would hate Trump, and I would want him to lose. Trump has called him names just as a Middle School kid would. It’s been disgraceful. No wonder his support is tepid. He’s lucky DeSantis has criticized the DA after Trump has called him names.
