I'm envisioning the judge spending a decent amount of time (in vain) instructing the audience that they cannot go full fricking wild when the verdict is read.

Verdict came in less than 30 minutes ago. They have to get everyone back to the court room as well as alert nearby jurisdictions so they can get first responders alert.
If the jurors had lunch. It only took an hour to deliberate.
