The problem is the strength of your military doesn't matter when you try to defeat an ideology the same way you would try to defeat a normal government or country. Defeating an ideology takes us doing something vastly different then what we have currently been doing.

Soft power, where we convince people around the world that our ideology is superior and our friendship is valuable was the work of USAID. Trump destroyed that. Right wingers cheered its destruction. American influence and power was massively impaired around the world by that move.

By my statement I meant that we could defeat an ideology with our military but we would have to do things that most people in this country as well as the world couldn't imagine us ever doing. I don't think any type of soft power would change the ideology we are currently facing.

None of it will matter then. The Dems will start impeachment proceedings the day after the midterms, begin investigating humanity's greatest resource - Elon Musk, and begin putting in the safeguards that will keep them in power forever.
