So if I’m getting this right, the ships filled with goods/oil either destined for or from Iran (or that paid Iran) that have been going and coming can’t any longer.

A very strong Naval Blockade with teeth is the right move here for the USA.

Kind of strange that nuclear is such a sticking point in negotiations. Even if they agreed to it would we really be able to trust it long term anyway? It may also include the collection of their existing materials I suppose.

Yeah. I’d consider having other ME (friendly to USA) run Iranian, and their own, oil industries.
We, the USA can secure the gulf and the strait for a fair share of the profits, say 40%.
Yeah this might take a few weeks for Trump to accomplish but we should make Iran pay for all the munitions we used.
