somewhat. I won't pretend to be an expert on every topic like many do
could you elaborate on your vague comment?

A reasonable definition is:
A detailed investigation and analysis of a subject or situation.

In this case its not a study, its just counting the death records.

A study often come with conclusions, assumptions etc...

This is just data recording, not even statistics.

Really not much to disbelieve.

We have less recorded ODs now.

2024, Biden's last year, had a 27% decrease.

Even better! 14.5% is what I saw with a quick look.

Notice the years.

2019, 2023, specifically.

You'll see similar patterns with all sorts of pathologies, like violent crrime.

I'm sure you're hinting that the Democrats' covid shutdowns was a major cause for the spike.

Trump certainly had nothing to do with it.

Meh, he did a couple of things for sure. First, he secured the border. Second, he put a lot of heat on China and Canada on this issue. I can’t quantify it, but I’m confident that his actions contributed heavily. Oh, and Biden could have easily done those same things. He just chose not to and let Americans die. Have a great day.

a. The shutdown wasn't partisan. Trump and plenty of Republican governors and mayors played large roles

b. There were other societal stimuli going on. We don't know which ones (or their proportion) caused the pathology increases.

What we do know is that the post-Covid spike started to dissipate in 2023 and continued in 2024 and continues to this day. I am not going to give Biden any credit for this, but, using logic, Trump can't get any either.

It’s because there was a trend.

The peak for fentanyl seizures at the border came in 2023. Purity of both powder and pill form fentanyl declined significantly in 2023 and 2024. The Biden admin made efforts to stem China's involvement in the Fentanyl trade with EO's and sanctions against a few hundred entities.

You can celebrate and be proud of the continued success against the fentanyl crisis, but that doesn't mean you should ignore or discredit actual good work done by others.

Im always amazed at these death totals. In the 19 1/2 years of the Vietnam War we lost 58,000 American troops. We all mourn these deaths as such a waste.

Yet almost every year there are more illegal drug over dose deaths in America and the outcry is a murmur compared to the Vietnam War loses. These deaths don't even include the drug related deaths caused by violence.

This death by overdose can be eliminated just like the border closings have eliminated illegal entry into our country.

We should thank the current administration for killing these traffickers and drug cartels as they are killing more Americans in a year than the Communists killed in 20 years in Vietnam.

Let's get behind our president and saying no more illegal drugs. These drug dealers and cartels and traffickers should be hunted down and executed before another single American dies of an illegal drug overdose. To not do so is a travesty and anybody not on board is complicit to murder.

That was Trump who shutdown the economy.

And the decrease on this chart was during Biden.
