McCarthy, suggests McCarthy may and should try to get support from Democrats for Speaker.

KM probably thought he'd have a larger majority and as a result he didn't need Gaetz and company.

But the fact he hasn't taken the past six weeks to work this out should be a disqualifier in itself.

Hilarious watching this unfold and Foxnews and the RINO's haven't learned their lesson yet... continuing to demonize the 20 isn't working.

"Im a military vet and this is a team, they need to get on the team"

'Were going to go to the dems and negotiate with them"

blah blah blah

In Round 8’s biggest surprise … Victoria Spartz missed her vote.
She's a holdout vote just in case. Threshold lowered by one. She waits until she sees the votes on the floor, then, if needed she will vote for a candidate but otherwise stays 'neutral.'

She will only vote for someone if there is no other way before her.

ABSOfrickINLUTELY, and it should be a total disqualifier. Anyone who did not have a massive ego trip bound up in this vote would have stepped aside and done everything they can to find a candidate enough members could coalesce around to get elected.

It is ALL ego for McCarthy and that alone disqualifies him from any position in leadership, much less in Congress as a whole.

It has been suggested that she is playing politics so as not to hurt her chances in any future roles or elections.

Have they forced McCarthy out of the Speaker's office yet? That to me was his biggest issue in all of this. He assumed he was going to be SOTH and he thought he was actually Othello.

He is no hero but just a tragedy

I'm in this to see how long it takes them to stop clapping like Stone Cold just dropped a stunner on someone every time their candidate votes for themselves.

The die was cast during the midterms. McCarthy killed a few MAGA candidates like Harthorne and tried to take out a few in the gang of 20 now. They will not vote for McCarthy.

Furthermore, if McCarthy starts horse trading with the Dems, IDK what will ensue. But if won't be good. He will not be a strong leader via the Dems. Pyric victory wouldn't even characterize that kind of win. I mean, part of the speaker's role is to fund raise for the GOP. After negotiating with Dems for the speaker role what GOP donors would want to be associated with Kevin? No one. The dude would isolate himself on an island, the Dems would ridicule and MAGA would throw figurative moon-pies at him.

So she is just another slimy politician without convictions. I get that she is just trying to save face but it’s infuriating to me that she is just waiting to be that swing vote and not participating

Either way. If the demons help him in any way - we have one party - the GOP is dead.

And that leaves a hole for America 1st to grow in.

Burn it all down McCarthy!
