I'm assuming this means Hern's joined the anti-McCarthy but who knows

Josh Brecheen votes for Hern too. Hern is from #OK01 and has been voting for McCarthy

Interesting. I have to wonder if this is others starting to realize they might be able to carve out some favors by pulling their support from KM for now.

No its not this is exactly what should be happening! Our Founding Fathers would be so proud of the 20!!

I guess if all voted McCarthy round one and the next few years McCarthy continues the destructive path the Dems did the past few years - then would you be happy if the 20 hadn’t held out!

These 20 are fricking Patriots fighting for we the people! Spartans! Keep holding the line!!

Despite receiving two votes thus far, Kevin Hern votes for McCarthy.

Rep. Bob Good: “I’m absolutely a no. You don’t ever have to ask me again if I’m a no. Never have to ask me again if I’m a no on Kevin McCarthy. I will never vote for Kevin McCarthy.”

I think these 20 are just voting for anyone but McCarthy. Having a bit of fun with it which is pretty awesome in the big scheme of things. Those randoms they voted for will forever have yheir names in the record books, pretty cool if you ask me. What we do know from it is they won’t vote McCarthy so why not enjoy name throwing

I think it’s also a way to get those people’s attention.

If someone nominates you for SOTH, reporters are gonna start asking you questions.

Solid strategy IMO

How selfish does KM have to be at this point. I, personally, would be embarrassed losing this many votes. Especially, on public display for all the concerned citizens that watch this clown show. He's already going to be remembered as a POS anyways. Why tag on to it with the lack of awareness to just walk away.

McCarthy is quickly building a favorable legacy.

I can’t imagine how much money is on the line for him and the others not to just move on to Scalise.

Bishop and good are both on record as forever no on KM.
Who are the other 6-7 that can end the KM parade of losing?
Gaetz, Biggs, boebert, ??
There are some of the 20 that seem to want a compromise. How many of them would cave?

I'm telling you, there is personal hate toward Kevin. Kevin double-crossed reps like Gaetz and Good during the midterms with campaign funding, (or lack of), and dirty tricks and this is political retribution.

The party might as well move on from Kevin. The sooner they realize it's more about Kevin and less about the rules the quicker the party can move on and elect a speaker.

In Round 8’s biggest surprise … Victoria Spartz missed her vote.
