quote:

The Vatican on Monday declared gender-affirming surgery and surrogacy as grave violations of human dignity, putting them on par with abortion and euthanasia as practices that it said reject God’s plan for human life.

quote:

In its most eagerly anticipated section, the Vatican repeated its rejection of “gender theory,” or the idea that one’s biological sex can change. It said God created man and woman as biologically different, separate beings, and said people must not tinker with that or try to “make oneself God.”

I still can't stand the commie bastard, but at least he hasn't abandoned everything at the altar of social justice.

I admit I am shocked at this.

5 years ago I would expect it.

Today I am speechless

I'm glad he's recognizing biblical categories that he and all other Christians should submit to.

Yeah...it's pretty hard to rationalize long accepted theological, common-sense principles with what is today's blatantly Pagan cultural hegemony. Especially given the factual historical record of where and what Pagan ideology/theology leads to. Such being really ugly and painful stuff, like is carved and painted on all the grand monuments of said Pagan civilizations.

Props to the Pope. He could use a win or two.

I don’t understand the opposition to surrogacy. If life is sacrosanct, why do we care how it arrives? It’s not like we’re doing surrogacy for child slaves. These babies are given to loving parents.

You're kind of lumping surrogacy with Adoption. They are not the same thing. life shouldn't be created to be sold - and that is effectively what it is.

A person who has a baby, but wants to give it up, is very different from hiring a person to deliver a constructed baby.

Surrogacy turns child-birth into a manipulative right and incurs consumerism and all of the other things that come with it. It devalues life to that of a transaction.

Actually, the Communists hated gays, too. And Stalin hated Jews so much he didn't tell the Allies about the Nazi death camps. He was fighting the Nazis but thought the camps were a good idea so he kept their secret till the war ended.

I admittedly do not know what’s the latest with the Vatican, but how’s the Pope’s health?

Could this be a situation of his people around him putting out policies while he doesn’t know any better? Like Biden doesn’t know what’s going on, but this is an actual good policy?

Kind of like a reverse Biden admin.

Again, I have no clue what I’m talking about since I don’t keep up with the Vatican day to day, just curious.

There is hope that the supporting cast at the Vatican and the Cardinals see the need to bring the papal message back to doctrine and away from mortal man made politics and social wants.

I'm with you regarding him. Now we can expect the demands for his removal due to obvious dementia.

It's not really a surprise if you read and listen to what he actually says and not the media's interpretation of what he says.

He didn't write that. Given how ill he has looked for quite some time, someone else is pulling the strings.
