Wait. I thought Twitter was dead and everyone is abandoning it. Now this?

Remember when they thought Twitter wouldn’t last to the weekend? Elon and his new team going to make a mockery out of these people

If I were Musk, I'd be worried they hid at least one trojan kill switch somewhere and would be spending every hour trying to find them.

So all the people didn’t do their job to prepare for one of the worlds biggest sporting events. Sounds like they were rightfully fired. This isn’t something that has anything to do with Elon buying Twitter. Those plans should have been made a year ago at least.

So disgruntled employee knocks twitter saying they may receive too much traffic over next 30 days.
Elon is losing sleep over too much we site traffic, for sure

He's lost at least 40 lbs since that pic went viral

I think Elon overpaid for Twitter. But I'm going to give it time

What if you don’t care if Twitter freezes up? And what if you don’t care if the World Cup happens or not?
Am I then to worry?
As long as it doesn’t interfere with SEC football, I’m ok.

The former employee, who was granted anonymity because of the sensitivity of what was discussed, has knowledge of the workings of Twitter Command Centre, the platform’s team of troubleshooters who monitor the site for issues such as traffic spikes and data centre outages.
“Between the lack of preparations and the lack of staffing, I think it’s going to be a rough World Cup for Twitter,” said the former employee.
Meh. They probably it setup on Kubernetes Engine to autoscale their servers once they reach a certain amount of CPU usage. So much of the data centers is automated these days to add additional servers, memory, or CPU if it gets past a certain limit.

The media is going to push these stories from "former employees" who will also be "unnamed sources" until either Twitter fails (and they will rejoice) or they realize they won't be able to wish that reality into existence.
THey're going to do it for roughly two weeks until Elon, Trump, or Kanye (all current or former Democrats btw) says something else they can latch onto and let the View and MSDNC throw a two week fit over.
This is the news cycle now.
