Yet it's still more transparent and fair than Schiff's committee and will have more content than Nadler's.

Obviously you have not heard the recording.

Words mean something.

You and snottyhanky fail to understand what it is he is asking for and just how relative it is to this.

Also remember no one is above the law.

I think my point, to which I think Hank rightfully agrees, is that there is actually a higher standard of proof for the dims to prove, or lower standard of conduct by which POTUS must abide, to cross the threshold into impeachable conduct.

Effectively, Trump is exonerated if, based on the info available to him, he has any reasonable ground to question the actions of an American while on foreign soil. Low bar, low standard. Legally.

The dims have already done the heavy lifting on showing that Hunter and Joe are scum. So much for manufacturing dirt on opponents.

No need to relitigate to prove that Joe's scum. He has done that himself.

I'd rather demonstrate that the whole impeachment was a scam. A setup. A farce. And I sure as frick heard the recording:

In the words of Joe: Come'om, MAN! We're on the same team!

Schumer is doing another presser at 11:AM today. I guess only CNN covered him last night. Pelosi and Chuck are seething about Turtle's rules.

Being that today we won't hear anything but procedural / rules arguments, it doesn't really start until tomorrow, dems first up...

I am wondering why Chuckie, Grandpa Munster, is calling a presser when the dems will have today @ 1PM to pontificate?

Pelosi knows this is going nowhere. She's pivoted to finger-pointing at the R senators in hopes they can take back the senate in 2020 and stop the deluge of judiciary appointments.

This will be Trump's (and the R Senate) legacy more than anything. I read already a third of the entire federal judiciary are now Trump appointments.

Boy the Dims sure do hate it when they’re given a taste of their own medicine. What a bunch of lying, two faced cockroaches.

There is another set of general rules for ALL impeachments, adopted back in the 1980s. These rules are specific to this case and work as a sort of overlay to those rules..

I know that. The claim was that ALL the rules for this particular trial had already been adopted.

And my my, Redbone has quite the hardon for my posts!

That makes much more sense. I want this circus concluded as much as anyone, but there is no justification for holding Senate impeachment proceedings in the middle of the night.

Three days was the rule in the Billy Jeff impeachment and was agreed 100:0 as I recall. It makes sense here, too.

Anybody else getting a Trump Art of the Deal vibe from that move?

Piss them off with one big thing you don’t really care about while they don’t even complain about the rest of the rules.

Then stand firm while the fury roars only to “cave” at the last moment while everything you really cared about gets done no questions.

The thought did cross my mind, let's hope they stand firm on all else.
