I stop paying attention to politics for a year and THIS is what I come back to? 
This is a huge mistake, whoever convinced him this was a good idea needs to be tarred and feathered. And Trump deserves all the ridicule he'll get over this "MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT". If he's wanting to be a serious candidate, this is one of the most confounding decisions I've ever seen
IF he somehow wins the primary I'll still vote for him over any D - especially Biden - because we've done nothing but crash and burn since 2020. But this just basically handed Desantis the ticket, and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing

Yes, and his first campaign as much as this one were designed to pump up his marketability for branding and media deals as The Apprentice cache faded. What he and nobody else expected was that his political message would actually catch on. This has been marketing of himself the whole time.

It's just so ridiculously over the top. I still can't believe this is real. Surely people around him strongly advised against this. Or has he surrounded himself with pure yes men that nobody told him.
