Fast food sales are STILL trending upward as quality and portion size decrease. In the next few years we will find out just how disgusting food can get before we actually lift a spatula at home.

You realize Chic-fil-a is level with Burger King and Arby's on that chart right
Go to any Chic-fil-a in the entire country and tell me, when was the last time you just drove up and were the first and only in the drive-thru line? Any chart putting Chic-fil-a in the same category as Burger King lol is flat out lying or skewing the numbers for an ulterior motive. A simple Occam's Razor logic will tell you that Chic-fil-a has been killing it since the 90's and have scaled up perfectly.
ETA: Would bet dollars to donuts that this chart doesn't account for Chic-fil-A only operating 6 days a week compared to 7 for its peers.

I stopped eating fast food because it became to expensive.
Average taco bell order is like 13$ for a nachos meal. shite they were doing 3 tacos ans a drink for $9.49.
3 taco bell tacos?! That's like 1 taco from a sit down mexican restaurant...
I figured with these price raises that these FF companies would be crushing it

Most fast food is gross and overpriced.

Minimum wage increases accounted for a lot of the price hikes.

Inflation was pretty well contained until Covid and the nonsensical response to it. The integrity of our currency has been seriously damaged and I’m not sure it can be fixed.

Good. That shite is fricking poison for your body anyways.

The amount of people in this thread ( including the OP) that have no idea what that chart shows is hilarious and a little sad.
It's only showing price inflation at those specific chains. It's how much their prices have gone up, as a percentage, since 2014.
It has nothing to do with profit, reported income, revenue, operating hours or anything else.
McDonald's went up more than everybody. Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Burger King, and Arby's have all gone up roughly the same percentage.

The table could just as easily be titled Fast Food Labor Cost since 2014.

Trump's Inflation is killing Fast Food Restaurants
Fast food restaurant culture is a blight on humanity. Nothing but overpriced "convenience" pumped full of preservatives and 3D-printed only-god-knows-what.
Make time in your lives to grow your own fruits and veggies, and raise/hunt/fish for your own meats. Carefully source the food you do buy.
People always say "I don't have time for that". Yes, you do. Make time for it. It exists, I promise.

What's good about fast food anyway? It just contributes to disease -- both acute, as in fulminant diarrhoea (Chipotle, here's lookin' at you), or chronic, as in a risk factor in obesity, type II diabetes, and even *gasp* cancers.
