Biden supports the WHPA, which would nationally legalize abortion up until the point of birth, and now supports using taxpayer $ to fund abortion.

Trump supports leaving the abortion issue up to the states.

Donald Trump: the 2024 abortion moderate.

A pro-life federalist, Trump opposes a national abortion ban & supports state abortion restrictions (privately supports 16-week bans, in line with Europe) with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother.

The winning strategy for 2024.

No matter what he says, it will get played up as evil in the media

Trump needs to focus on 1) the border, 2) crime in our own nation, 3) Ukraine / Biden’s impending WWIII and Trump’s record of peace

Those are absolutely winning issues for Trump, and should be front and center in the eyes of voters

I thought it was the smart move. Like he said, "this can be negotiated."

Leaves the wiggle room to the States to figure out.

Gaining your approval was tops on his 24 campaign goals.

Well, he said this two weeks ago.
quote:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was leaning toward a 15-week national ban on abortion but supports exceptions for rape, incest and saving the life of the mother because "you have to win elections."

Abortion promises to be a galvanizing issue for some women voters in the 2024 presidential election in which Trump will try to unseat Democratic President Joe Biden.

The former Republican president, whose three right-wing appointees to the U.S. Supreme Court secured the majority needed to overturn Roe v. Wade in 2022, has not been specific on whether he would sign a national ban into law.

In a call-in radio interview on Tuesday, he came close.

"The number of weeks now, people are agreeing on 15. And I'm thinking in terms of that. And it’ll come out to something that’s very reasonable. But people are really, even hard-liners are agreeing, seems to be, 15 weeks seems to be a number that people are agreeing at," Trump said on the "Sid & Friends in the Morning" show on WABC.

He said he would make an announcement at the appropriate time.

You realize the goose steppers and their media lackeys will claim that Trump’s position is the “extreme right wing” position, right?

A person gets pregnant in Alabama, where a fetus is recognized as a child. That person flies to California where abortion is legal and the fetus is not a person.

The person returns to Alabama where there is now a missing citizen. Can Alabama prosecute the mother for death of a child?

You can't have partial citizenship. Trump is failing on this as it's not a states rights issue on the legality of the fetus and how that concept crosses state boundaries.

It's the same playbook as gay marriage. You can't be married in one state and not the other.

I’m not shocked that you would sacrifice babies in blue states to win an election

You either believe they are worth protecting or you don’t.

You clearly dont

Better questions, how much evidence is needed here??

Is she flagged as soon as she buys a pregnancy test??

When she buys the ticket to CA?

What laws does CA pass to protect health information?

How does Alabama prove it was an abortion at the end of the day

So he loses people on an issue that has zero impact on their lives because they want to force their personal beliefs on others.

And those same people would rather not vote, which actually risks full/open abortion, as well as other issues that WILL impact them directly.

Those people would be idiots.

Don’t let perfect be the enemy of good.

You sound a lot like the establishment.

“Vote for our candidate who sucks because the other one sucks more I promise!”

So let’s see

He’s not pro life
He’s spent like a drunken sailor.
He was the president when the executive branch recommended the economy be locked down.
He may or may not give money to Ukraine (he has stated both at times though I will say he is the most consistent on lower funding)
He endorsed McCarthy and ronna and Johnson.

What am I voting FOR?

President Trump is 100% right. Abortion is now where it should have always been, with the states.
