America has a long glorious history of being isolationists.
It was in our DNA. No Americans were supportive of World War I - leave Europe and all their crap to Europe.
This is what Trump is doing.
Our history is we left Europe to be our own stand alone away from the bullshite of the old countries and Kings and Queens.
But now Europe - while trying to destroy us for 200 years wants us to support them through trade.
I wish we'd just try lockdown for about 20 years and see how awesome Europe and Canada does without the US.
It was in our DNA. No Americans were supportive of World War I - leave Europe and all their crap to Europe.
This is what Trump is doing.

Bc it isn't true. This board is as pro-trump as it comes, and there was basically uniform condemnation of the budget he signed. Bordering on melting. But definitely an overwhelming consensus that he took a huge L.
What equivalent recognition of that is there with Dems? Chuck shumer will do it on trade and Israel, but that's a rarity.
Of course there is stubborn trump hate and support, but there is more blind opposition than blind support.

he rabbled together incoherent thoughts and phrases that he thought would sound good to mask his really shitty grasp of global economics and trade policies.
call our allies a 10 on the relationship scale then promptly fricked our ally to the north and Merkel and May are both considering going it alone without counting on the US for anything in the future....
