Ron could have been a contender!

He’s scared. Weird to watch.
Even when Donny finally gives in to the DOJ and drops out, he will pull against Ron.

Trump is right but his timing is off.
There are some who think Desantis is done. That is probably a bit premature. But the second it becomes apparent that he can’t win, he should get out for the good of the country.
That’s something even Desantis supporters should agree with.
The longer this civil wars goes on the more it hurts the effort to beat down the Democrats.
The timing of this would be Super Tuesday, March 2024.
8 months from now.

What are your thoughts on Trump promising he’d go away if he didn’t get re-elected and going back on his word like a coward?
I don’t believe the 2020 election was legitimate, just like 10s of millions of others. Bless your heart if you do.

What specific evidence do you have that his endorsement did anything of the sort?

Trump couldn’t beat Biden. And he’s 77. And he lied to his supporters about a stolen election, resulting in his supporters getting jailed and in one sad instance killed, and now he’s facing a likely criminal proceeding relating to his abhorrent conduct in the aftermath of the 2020 election.
For the good of the country, he shouldn’t be running.

Trump is getting desperate. Sad to see.

This is true. He almost lost to a crackhead.
So did Trump.
Dude went hard after Hunter and got impeached.

Please get out Ron! Please!
Y’all are too damn funny.
I’m not quite that emotionally invested to view it along those lines, as you apparently do. Why would the candidate and his supporters even bother with pleading with an opponent who, if anything, continues to lose ground? There’s no other reason for Trump’s words there than their plain meaning - exactly what they say. But back to my own initial point, a genuine one, it’s looking more and more like RD’s window for 2024 is closing, so why should he not consider the future, and how current actions are quite possibly affecting that?

So, let's say 2024 "looks" fishy as well, and Trump says he was cheated again, and you believe him.
Will you support him in 2028?

And thank God Trump helped Ron over the finish line to beat crackhead.
This is such bullshite.
2018 was a historic blue wave year. Why? Because the country resoundingly rejected Donald Trump. And they did it again in 2020, 2022, and soon to be 2024.

He could have waited and he would have been odds-on favorite for '28 but he didn't do that.
I think he’s absolutely correct about this.
Inb4 “it’s his turn”
Why should he have to wait for Trump to lose in '24 so he can run in '28?

When did Trump endorse DeSantis?
Posted on 7/28/23 at 1:57 pm to GumboPot
Trump endorsed Desantis in June.
That chart doesn't show June, and shows Ron dropping in September.
Good work.

Also:
that was a blue wave year. Gillum was expected to win, and the vast majority of Trump endorsed candidates lost. It was a bloodbath that year.
Desantis is one of the only ones to win.
So...despite.

Actually this is completely false. DeSantis got no real bump from the Trump endorsement, he got a bump after his debate. Polls also showed the Trump endorsement was a drag on him in the General.

That's what I thought. Trump's endorsement was in the Republican primary.
