President Trump told reporters Monday that critics who are opposed to his proposed White House ballroom are disloyal to the country.

“The people that are opposing the ballroom are people that, in my opinion, are very disloyal to our country,” Trump said in the Oval Office.

“And I think we’re doing well. I think we’re way ahead of schedule. We’re under budget. It’s going to be the most beautiful ballroom of its kind,” he said.

Trump went on to tout what he said was the “tremendous military protection” as a part of the ballroom.

“It’s very safe,” the president said.

“This is for future presidents. This isn’t for me,” he added, referring to the ballroom as “a gift” for the country.

The Washington Post reported last week that the ballroom is set to cost at least $900 billion.

They should be arrested.

Wouldn’t this proposed ballroom protect future presidents from what Biden called the most dangerous threat our country faces? White supremacists?

The problem is, they hate Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.

And they really don’t have any other reason that they can intelligently tell us.

If your boy Obama was building a ballroom, nobody would care. The corrupt, bought-and-paid-for corporate media wouldn't be mentioning it, nor would Far Left loons like you be harping on it.

Obtw, Obama had a basketball court built. Did that bother you?

If we had the ballroom, assassination attempts would drop

It is hilarious.

I have no problem with the Ballroom but I still don’t understand tearing down an entire wing of the White House for it.

Obama had basketball lines/boundaries painted onto the existing tennis court, cost a few hundred bucks. Not even close to the same thing

Yeah, and I also don’t agree with calling them disloyal. I really don’t care because the ballroom affects me in no way, shape or form, but to say one is disloyal is to America for opposing it is rich coming from him considering his biggest donors are staunchly pro-Israel/pro-Zionists. Give me a break dude. I’m sure there are some fiscal conservatives who really do care, and they love this country infinitely more than Mommy Miriam.

I know it’s more than just a ballroom but that seems a bit much.

His obsession with the stupid ballroom as the country surpasses 40T in debt is incredibly tone deaf, even for Trump.

Stupid shite like this times 1 billion is why we're so debt leveraged. Zero financial discipline for 5 presidencies.

It's a rare talent. No one can hyperfocus on the irrelevant at the expense of the important better than Trump.

Cool. Where do I need to go to schedule a birthday party for the year it opens?

Hopefully he meant $900 million. Which is still insane, IMO. But a trillion dollars for a dance room would be bonkers.

Under budget? Yeah right….the cost keeps rising.
No taxpayer money? Yeah right…at least half the cost will be taxpayer money.

I’ve seen renderings of the interior. It’s gaudy and looks as terrible as what he has done to the Oval Office..

Wait…you are comparing a repainted tennis court to a ballroom approaching $1 billion?

A ballroom is going to cost almost a trillion dollars?
