Current M2 money supply in the US economy is about $20 trillion.

Add $2 trillion to that in one year (Covid) and you saw what happened.

Now add $35 trillion in one day and tell me what you think will happen

And maybe leprechauns will fork over their pots of gold to pay it off in exchange for a suite in Trump Gaza.

Anyone that doesn’t take Bitcoin seriously at this point is in denial.

It’s the first new asset class since equities in the 1600s and institutions/sovereign wealth funds have stopped asking if they should allocate and started asking how much they should allocate.

Should you mortgage the house on it? No.

Should you continue to laugh at it and insist that it’s a scam that will go away? Also no.

This, we have not had a budget in over 20 years, just constant continuations, then negotiate giving 100s of billions to the other side to stop the govt from being shut down, then 100s of billions to stop gop, and on and on it goes, absolutely fcking nonsense.

By the way the "they" he is talking about are mostly US citizens, through their retirement, 401Ks, etc invested in treasuries through their mutual funds.

How is transferring existing bitcoin wealth to the treasury going to cause the effect of $35 trillion dollars to be printed in a single day?

If the US paid off it's debt with existing gold, would that cause $35 trillion to be "printed" in one day?

If transferring existing wealth to the treasury has the same effect as printing money, then why do we not see a sharp increase in inflation every April?

If the people who held our debt accepted bitcoin as payment, would that still add $35 trillion to the money supply?

I like this line of thinking, though. "We have to pay off the debt! But not too fast!" With no room for error, it really gives you more opportunities to complain.

this is plausible, all that has to happen is the US has to own every bitcoin in existence and it has to go up about 30 times it's current value

Is this AI!? It’s nonsense.

We are the United States and have the strongest currency on the planet. Trump needs to support that with words and actions

Giving credibility to bitcoin or other currency undermines our currency. Undermining our currencyi, as president, is treasonous.

Tulips were never an asset class.
