I think the attention regarding Mexico needs to turn to the impending Civil war Mexico and the Cartels will be having.
This is assuming the Mexican President is being serious, which I have my doubts. The Cartels run Mexico. Not this lady bending the knee to Trump. If she is being sincere and that war starts internally, then the cartels being deemed a foreign terrorist organization means we get to go destroy those fricks on behalf of the US and Mexico with the quickness,
It will be interesting to follow. The Cartels are the real enemy here and I think Trump is setting things up so the real enemy gets the attention they deserve.

Mexico is corrupt as hell so I'm not sure how much mexican soldiers are going to do unless there are Americans standing next to them watching out for corruption. If you have miles and miles of nothing but Mexican soldiers the cartels will get to them and find a way through.

These 10,000 aren't there to stop anything. They are there to demonstrate to the world how inept and corrupted they are. Then Trump can say, "You had your chance and you flubbed it. Daddy is taking over now."
