even the ones championing Elon will come back too. Elon isn’t consistent and there’s plenty of other takes of his MAGA won’t agree with. (H1Bs, no tariffs on China, etc)

Some of the conspiracy theories are more believable than what we believe is the reality. Most likely Elon realized he took a massive PR hit and he was unhappy with being unpopular. MAGA took the WH without Elon in 2016.
He's not about to sidle up with the folks pushing the woke mind virus, the primary reason he even got involved in politics in the 1st place.
And as much as it pains me, Elon's not the most popular with folks on both sides of the aisle.

As Sundance said this was predictable but the surprising part is the Musk crash came so soon. Hopefully Trump and the GOP can time Musk on a euphoric part of his cycle and leverage it for the midterms.

Trump started this the other day when he was being asked about Elon’s criticism of the bill and he started telling outright lies about Elon- that Elon only dislikes the bill because it cuts EV subsidies (Elon is on record as actually advocating those cuts) and that he had to fire him and ask him to leave rather than Musk’s contractual, agreed time being up. Before that moment, Musk had only ever criticized this awful bill.
I know. I know. Downvote away as if that changes what happened.
