That would be nice.. not sure but I suspect electricity driven more by natural gas prices?

This was forecast by the US Dept of Energy back in January and unless someone can give some specifics, it likely has nothing to do with anything Trump has done.
Think for a second. Anything he could have done would have taken longer than he's been in office to have an effect. Anything I can think of, anyway.
US Dept. Of Energy
It's good news and the average person will give Trump credit, which is good.
But he didn't cause it as far as I can tell.

Wow. It looks like gas has gone down about 10 to 15 Cents here in Houston.
The Dept of Energy estimated 11 cents in 2025 (average for the year) and another 18 cents for 2026.
Back in January.

“ been falling since mid-January amid fears that Trump’s trade policies could weaken global demand, though China’s 2025 growth target of around 5% has fueled hopes for more stimulus. Adding to supply pressures, OPEC+ plans to raise output by 138,000 barrels per day from April—the first increase since 2022. However, a larger-than-expected 1.433 million-barrel drop in US gasoline stockpiles last week has helped slow the decline in prices.”
Again global economics .. Jed clambert did not go hunting again and impact oil prices..

Good. I haven't seen any change in price in my area but I'm sure it will trickle down eventually. I hope it gets even lower. Cheap energy will spur the economy.

You know how this goes, and how it will always go......
When the price of gas is low the President gets to claim responsibility. When the price of gas is high the President gets to claim he has nothing to do with the price of oil/gas.
It is a tale as old as time.

almost back to the price it was at end of last year before the elections..
I’m not one who really looks much at upvotes/downvotes, but amusing that a mere fact is met with all downvotes. You didn’t even couple it with a political statement one way or the other.

I may be one of the few posters here who don't give a damn about the price of a gallon of gas since I receive a pretty good monthly check from production on some mineral interests I own.
I figure if they take it from me on one end I make it up on the other.

Just my unprofessional opinion, but I like to give more credit to our American oil & gas industry that produced record barrels despite a previous administration in DC that was publicly hostile towards them, and continues to go to work every day driving towards another record breaking production year in 2025.

easiest way to lower inflation is to lower energy costs every product requires energy in production and energy in getting the product to market....lower that cost will lower the cost of the end product
It’s amazing how many people don’t understand such a basic concept

However... it is spring breaks for a couple of weeks so I expect it to go down soon

On a side note, any movement or word on replenishing the Strategic Petroleum Reserves?
