The 11 H1Bs that replaced me would tend to make this false.
I’ve read enough about individual examples to realize that some industries are abusing H1Bs, and that needs reform. However, we do NOT have enough engineers, coders and many other STEM workers. And I probably have twice the experience with this than anyone else on this board having hired thousands of engineers.

Trump has totally abandoned the youth of America.
This is why they killed Charlie Kirk. The youth was being focused for a greater America first future. Globalists just want our money and blood to serve their goals. Trump isn't doing enough to stop it. We DO NOT need any more foreigners in this nation. Invest in our country, not others.

In the 2023 version of ‘anyone but Trump,’ 43 billionaires together with an assist from Sea Island attendee, Elon Musk, tried to launch Ron DeSantis as a MAGA alternative. However, the Tea Party-hardened MAGA voters looked at their scars, and when they saw the $100 bill on a fishing line being dragged through the MAGA community, they refused to chase it.

Only twice, huh?
Can you throw in an exponential or extensive in there, too?

He certainly could've handled that interview better but, it's been my experience that, the first words spoken are what people truly want to say and how they feel.
Will it take time to train people? Yes but, to say "America doesn't have talent" is a YUGE mistake.

This isn’t going to be a popular take but here goes. I run a small software development company. Up until about 5 years ago I had all state side developers. The younger developer generation is very entitled, lacks work ethic and demands high salaries. We moved to offshore. I can hire 3 offshore developers for 1 state side and get better employees. They almost never complain, don’t miss much work and get their shite done on time.
There’s no doubt all jobs out there can’t be filled with Americans right now. We have cultural issues that need fixing. You have to cut back welfare to force people to find jobs first, then it takes years for them to learn actual skills. Then those people have to encourage their kids to do well in school and work hard so they don’t have to work at McDonald’s. It’s a decades long fix to redevelop a more skilled workforce.
But Trump was insulting in his response and it won’t play well. He should have framed as H1Bs should only be used to fill gaps when no skilled Americans are available and that we need to focus on training more Americans for these positions to reduce the need for foreign labor

frick him, then.
If you can't put value in the citizens you swore to serve, then you don't deserve the position you took. The golden immigrant age argument people like to make defending what's happening here now ignores that back then, America represented more than just dollar signs. We expected integration with the values we had. Now, we have no values outside of a stock ticker.
That statement sets everything Trump got elected for as a lie and makes him hardly better than the mass of globalists that came before him and will take over after. This nation is dying and we're debating who gets to suck the remaining blood out of the corpse. Really, why bother with voting at all?

H1b people are not necessarily more capable. I hired one once and had to fire him in 2 weeks. He had qualifications, but couldn’t learn new stuff on the job.
Go figure
A person that can learn new stuff on the job works out. Can’t learn on the job you are useless

Hate to say it but this is the beginning of the lame duck period for the Trump presidency. It began in earnest yesterday. Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away, then Christmas and the New Year and then it’s midterm season. The Dems will win congress easily and Trump and his cabinet will be facing impeachment from Temu Obama and congressional Democrats for the last two years.
All of this could have been avoided. But Trump sold out to the Big Tech Donors and the lobbyists. The 2015 version of Trump would have kicked the 2025 version of Trump right in the nuts by now. They don’t know each other.
Because JD and Rubio are in this Trump administration neither one probably gets nominated in ‘28. Trump selling out his base will be a bane to anyone in this administration’s future political careers. Ron DeSantis actually may come out looking the best after all is said and done given the fact that he’s not directly associated with this administration.
There is also the distinct possibility that Temu Obama and the Democrats will overplay their hands and force a quick pendulum swing back to the GOP.

All the H1BS should be deported. Hopefully a NF type will rise up so we don’t slide to communism

There’s less wrong with our dept of Education and college system then there is wrong with our entitlements and lack of effort.
The only reason India and China have so many ‘capable’ people to H1B is because they have 3x-4x each the amount of people as the USA, there’s almost 10x the amount of people in those 2 countries combined. Of course they will have some capable people.
Those of you in here shitting on the avg American because the top 5% of Indians or Chinese can do some jobs are pathetic.

Breesus, You are preaching to the choir. But politics is the art of the possible, and ending welfare is not even remotely possible under our democracy. If we turn to authoritarianism then maybe so.
