This shite is fricking rich. Dude makes an off-handed quip in a speech. The news media suddenly goes full bore Woodward and Bernstein Watergate investigative mode to GIT HIM. And now we are gonna harp on muh why’s he focusing on this and not the real issues.

It’s still a thing afaik. When I lived up north and went out to eat, I’d ask for a “Diet Coke or whatever” to avoid the server telling me they only had Pepsi products. I’d usually end up with a Diet Pepsi, which sucked, but not as bad as northern iced tea. I don’t know how one can screw up iced tea, but the north has it down to a science.
