George W Bush gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his supposed work on AIDS research.

Trump people don’t give a damn about policy decisions as long as they can high five when he calls some media member “a ho with a big nose”

He could strip them of heir 401k and they’d be fine with it as long as they get in a laugh

This right here is the crux of Trump's and the Republican Party's problem in 2024 in two simple sentences.

On issues where Trump is clearly wrong and needs to correct his position/thinking (yes, it IS okay to admit failure and improve) he simply will not do it. And he thinks that is okay because his base absolutely does not give a shite what he does, they are 100% behind him regardless. He see this and says, "I'm doing everything right, my supporters love me, I'm winning." Meanwhile, he's leaving millions of votes on the table from people outside his base who I think he could easily bring into the fold with a little more discernment and common sense. Millions of votes he will need by the way. Sucks for us because it's how we ended up with Biden, Harris, Newsome or whoever.

It’s sad you don’t want better than what trump has to offer.

In a perfect world, I'd probably prefer DeSantis over Trump. DeSantis certainly did a much better job than Trump on the virus and that is a big issue. However, unless Trump dies, DeSantis has no chance and attacks on Trump just hurts his 2024 chances to get Biden and the extreme far left out of office.

And his supporters literally say that criticizing him is being pro groomer.

I mean why would he change when he controls followers to that level?

Dude doesn’t take responsibility for anything
Should he take responsibility for paying hookers to pee on Obama's bed?
Should he take responsibility for saying he didn't want to visit a WWI US cemetery because dead soldiers were losers?

Now we have a Presidential citation awarded supposedly in the chaos of his final day in office, where we know people like Milley were in open rebellion, and of which Trump claims he was unaware.

Is it possible he's telling the truth?

At what point does the man earn a SINGLE INSTANCE of benefit of doubt from you folks?

Trump has been in the public's eye since at least the early 80s. In that time, can anyone point to a single time where he's said, "You know what...I was wrong about that. I learned from that mistake and made changes and did better afterwards." He seems to think that any admission of failure is some insurmountable weakness. Most humans understand this is asinine, but his fans reward this silliness and think it's "strong" when in actuality it's just overblown ego.

Exactly. This is how he'll win the nomination and get crushed in the general...and this place and others that were 100% behind him will look around AGAIN and wonder what happened and the only logical answer will be widespread fraud.*

* For the millionth time, I think there was a ton of fraud as well as legal but unethical collusion of traditional and social media, elites, politicians, etc in the 2020 election. That can be true AND ALSO being no where near as popular as one thinks he is based on rallies alone. One guy with 7 Trump flags at a rally gets as many votes as some homebound a-hole that had his ballot harvested that no one ever saw.

Grow apple trees and honey bees

I want to hold it in my arms
And keep it company

I want to see the world for once
All standing hand in hand
And hear them echo through the hills
For peace through out the land

I want ... many things. Attainment is the challenge though. Who will the electorate back that would provide better than what trump has to offer?

He has no chance because people won't make the switch in their minds that it really is ok to support the guy you actually prefer more. That's literally all it would take. You admit you prefer DeSantis but are backing Trump because he's leading. He's ONLY leading because you're backing him...

You are also a liar.

The guy you're supporting tells more lies than pretty much everyone.

You said you would be more popular than drumpf and you would be president

You say you're a conservative yet you're supporting a guy who:

-Praised Charlie Crist
-Said Stacey Abrams would be a better Governor than Brian Kemp
-Attacked pro-life Republicans
-Said Newsom and Cuomo handled Covid better than DeSantis
-Said he could never hit back at Newsom because he was nice to him
-Helped cost the GOP control of the Senate twice
-Celebrated when Michael Bennet won re-election

Any true conservative would be pissed as frick at a "Republican" who did that

Um, no?

So because there have been lies about Trump, no actual negative things can be true? How are these things linked other than that?

Sure...is it possible he isnt?

The pee thing and the cemetery just in your list for starters.
