I get where you are going, TA

Unlike Liz and Bernie screaming into the nothing, Trump is correct that gas pump prices are always slow to come down and fast to rise

Bernie and Liz are just screaming about prices overall, while ignoring the actual markets. Trump is looking at the market and saying what we all say about slower to lower.

Maybe refineries had to clear out some of the higher-priced stock, but if that's not the case, then Trump is correct that there is gouging going on.

yet when prices rose we didn't pay cheaper prices for the cheap stock

We're getting closer to price control Don, we've already seen public ownership of private industry this is merely the next step

Margins on gas are razor thin so when oil rises gas stations must immediately price in the cost of their next shipment and raise prices accordingly to increase margins on their current inventory to cover some of the price hike.

Gas at the pump is always quick to rise to reflect the price increase but always slow to drop once prices at the rack come down.
True.

But that is a convenience, not a necessity. Bessent warned oil companies regarding this "habit of convenience" weeks ago. Insofar as GOP policy favors the oil industry, it is in the industry's interest to heed Bessent's warning.

Ahhhhhh…..so even though there is not a single identifiable difference between Trumps and Sanders statements, Trump’s statement is more nuanced and correct, reflecting a 4D chesss perspective?

That is what dad and I would do. Wait for the competition to drop first. We felt doing it first was like shooting yourself in the foot. I'm glad I'm out of that business. The chains have taking over here.

When we would see something like a war about to start or a refinery catch on fire to cause it to go up we'd fill up the tanks. No loss leader for us. We made money at everything.

Yup. Once the chains know how much gas you are selling, if its enough, they will plop down right beside you.

When Bernie says it, it's bad because Bernie is socialist and bad. When Trump says it, it's based and correct, because Trump is MAGA and based.

If Trump says "from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs," then that would also be based and correct, because it would then be MAGA

Buc-ee's has ruined it for the little guy.

Circle K's and have taking over Huntsville. Along with Twice Daily. Then there is Costco, Sam's, Bj's and now Kroger selling gasoline.

Once again, actual oil companies like Chevron, Shell, Devon, Apache, etc. aren't setting the prices at QuickTriip, WalMart, or even the gas stations that have "Shell" on the sign. The owner of the actual station or franchise does.

Trump just tweeted stuff for the low-IQ folks to eat up, no different than any other politician saying or tweeting ignorant shite during election season.

It’s really sad watching posters in here that simply can’t take Trump’s cack out of their arse long enough to have a salient, independent thought.

They are the mentally softest bunch.
