Trump specifically said we don’t want their cars, steel, lumber, etc right in front of Carney. Then he said no changes to tariffs and that Canada would be a great state.

I have seen him be very humble and flattering right before he "tosses their salads" during negotiations. I think he gives them some butt cream after the negotiations are over, very thoughtful of him.

Most of Trumps tariff talks were bluster meant to bring people to the table. He's always been open to making deals, growing the debt and the gov is it works out for his interest.
I say this not to disagree with Trump but to rather try and make a point that his worst critics don't understand him and his soy-boy supporters don't either.
He needs to make the deals best he can for the US interest. I'm hoping fingers crossed he does so.
