Autism is likely mercury poisoning. They obviously need to get heavy metals out of vaccines, especially considering they give a shite ton of vaccines now.

Want to link to where you published your research on this?

It's ok not to comment on something you know so little about.

Wouldn't mercury poisoning be more likely to result in pervasive cognitive deficits like ID, then the more specific deficits related to Autism?

The logic of this etiology just doesn't seem sound if you know the diagnostic criteria and manifestations.

Let scientific research work it's magic...but preconceived notions remind me of witch hunts in Salem...too much propaganda and not enough independent research!

Lordy. So we would have no problem with him inviting a bigfoot believer to speak to whatever agency as long as he also invited a bigfoot skeptic? The vaccine myth has been debunked time and time again. Most sane people know that. In fact the one large study that showed a link, was later shown to be and admitted to be falsified.

and some, not the majority, are such hard core sheeple that Trump will have you believing that the connection now exists. Can some of you just admit when he is wrong? Just once ?

Diagnosis.

Autism has an extremely wide spectrum.

when I first started teaching back in '69 there wasn't any indication or evidence of anything of the sort that I ever heard of or saw back then...and I was totallt tuned into this kind of stiff as I was planning my future family then and was around 100s of parents and teachers ...and nothing was going on back then that I ever heard of...

Doctors are better at diagnosing it. That was easy.

You think Autism just fricking popped up man? Jesus.

It was always there. We just diagnosis it now. And there could be a variety of factors.

There is no link to vaccines. None. The guy who started this fiasco admitted he made most of his bullshite up.

The actual rates have not increased. What has increased is that more people are being accurately diagnosed due to education and better diagnostic tools, as well as early screenings . And the criteria for diagnosing someone with an autistic spectrum disorder have widened. See Aspergers disorder.

It is true. The number of people diagnosed or number of documented cases has increased. That does not mean that actual autism is any more prevalent. . It's been around forever pretty much at the same rate .

In short and as someone else stated, we are just better at diagnosing it for a number of reasons .

I am glad we pretty much eradicated polio. I don't want my kids getting MMR.
All of my kids are vaccinated.

That said, I don't like the way vaccine skepticism is treated.
I get why people are unsure about giving babies all of these shots and think it's dehumanizing the way people respond to anti-vaccination parents.

A stern response to what you perceive to be a public health threat (if you are qualified and informed to make that judgment) is fine, but I believe the response is usually overboard and does more to entrench the feelings of distrust in the skeptic than to change their mind.

As someone else stated? Everyone states it as nauseum. But how can that be proven?

No. It appears that rates of level 3 autism have increased, in addition to the higher functioning forms which may have been under diagnosed in the past.

Apples and oranges.

Again, that does not appear to be accurate. What you are correctly pointing out though is reported rates of 4-in-10000 in 1960 vs 1-in-68 now are apples and oranges comparisons.

He hires the best people. Didn't someone tell me that's what he would do....God damn this is a bad hire on the surface although maybe not. Maybe it's his plan to destroy the anti vaxxer movement have one of them review the program and say it's good. 10d chess at work folks.

I need to find it, but there was a study that showed that some over the recent, severe cases of autism wer those who were traditionally diagnosed with ID:
