Why are they only trying to do it now? I mean.. it was obvious that ballot harvesting played a monumental role in the 2020 election. In several states. But trump focused on talkin about fraud and shite.

Ballot harvesting should've been the main strategy for Republicans, in states that allow it, during the 2022 election.

Now that they are talking about it for 2024... they will probably frick it up because Democrats are pros when it comes to ballot harvesting. 2022 should've been when Republicans try their hand at it, on a massive scale. In 2024, I envision Republicans going to houses a week or so after Democrats have been there.

I will give this some perspective.

It is illegal in GA.

It was done in 2020 and they got away with it because of COVID. They cheated.

The GA State Legis signed a new voting law in 2021. The goal was to cut down on the mail in ballots and get people to vote in person. This happened.

In the 2020 election there was about 150k mail in ballots in Fulton County GA alone.

In the 2022 election there as only 190K mail in ballots in the state total. 190K mail in ballots out of about 3.5 million total ballots cast.

You need mail in ballots to "ballot harvest" for those who don't know.

Well it sounds like ballot harvesting is off the table in GA because it is illegal. What strategy do you suggest for getting the vote out in GA in 2024?

Ballot harvesting is legal in some states. Like AZ, WI, PA, GA, NV and MI.

That's not really true.

In many states it's supposed to be tightly controlled to certain scenarios (it isn't)

If DeSantis is the nominee he wins GA by 4 points.

If it is Trump, he loses.

The strategy is for DeSantis to be the nominee.

If you have mail-in ballots, nobody has any idea where it’s coming from or where it’s going to and then it travels through so many hands.

I'm amazed that this idiot still doesn't know how voting by mail works.

If only we had another option who understands how to tighten up elections without getting rid of a completely legitimate practice like voting by mail...

As I mentioned in a prior post SoCal GOP were very successful with ballot harvesting in SoCal counties where it is legal. They placed drop boxes in rural areas and churches and got the GOP turnout way up.

I don't disagree. I was saying the same thing before the 2022 election. But just because you didn't ballot harvest in 2022 does not mean you shouldn't ballot harvest in 2024 were it is legal.

Let's nominate someone who hasn't tried to torpedo the state because he wasn't getting what he felt he was owed.

No matter the nominee, the GOP nominee needs to support and execute ballot harvesting in states where it is legal. Don't nix a good idea just because Trump is promoting it.

I do agree with this point.

Voting by mail differs by state. Some are the same, most are not.

FBI/DOJ will find a way to pursue nebulous "civil rights violations" for "disenfranchisement" when the right tries this. Just watch.

I said 4 or 5 years ago they need to use the same tactics as the dems. Reps from CA have been doing this for at least 4 years.

Even Rona said as much several months ago.

Trump isn't leading edge here.

I believe the Dems harvest in two ways. They pay NGOs to go into the neighborhoods and nursing homes and to get ballot signatures in exchange for $20 dollars, a pack of cigs or a 40 oz. Ole English. That's physical on the ground work that happens weeks before election day. The GOP has to match that. They need to hire feet on the ground and hit the State Fairs, Church events, rural nursing homes, etc.

The second way they Dems harvest is on election day after the polls close, and this is illegal. They get the voter rolls and they eliminate the voters that have voted and fill out just enough ballots on election day with names that have not voted. These are always the midnight or 3 am drop of ballots that pull Dem candidates over the top.

The only way to fight this is to not have computerized tally of who has voted because if they do not know who has not voted they can't fill out late arriving ballots with those names.

What he is doing is forcing the Democrats to do away with it.

If it works against them then they will do something about it.

Similar to illegals crossing the border.
It is ok until you put illegals on Martha’s Vineyard.
Now Chicago, NY, and Washington DC are crying about it.

Funny haven’t heard a peep from the media about this in the past few weeks.
