They can do this now with TX, AZ and NM, and congress controlled by Democrats. Trump cannot secure the border without the Nat'l guard and state police help. Top that off with congress defunding Border Patrol and ICE.

Yep good times. The Senate Repubs should end the filibuster right now and pass the Save Act and codify Trumps policies on the border as well.

Not really “DSA rule” by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want a serious answer:

Dems are going to focus on cutting red tape to build housing, addressing healthcare overbilling / fact that onus has unfairly been put on insurance companies to set the market, and codifying guardrails that previously relied on gentlemens’ agreements…. so that Congress and the US government & the stock market function as intended moving forward.

Probably get some legislation trying to stimulate economic parity & small business instead of further enabling the ballooning industrial consolidation problem.

You’ll also get investigations and accountability on fraud/waste & market manipulation.

Dems are not overly enthusiastic because this is seen as a baby step in the right direction, and there’s a lot of damage control to do relating to geopolitics… Iran… etc.

Nobody can wave a magic wand to undo the shitshow Trump and his cabinet of reality TV stars have left behind.

What do I expect they will do - open borders, attack police, and have no accountability for any lawlessness. I believe we are going to see utter chaos in the cities, and economies will fail.

That’ll certainly make things more affordable!

And yes, I agree with your entire assessment, it was literally happening less than 2 years ago.

They have Governors overseeing 382 electoral college votes, own the entire judiciary branch at all levels, the entire legislative branch, and all of media,

Go ahead, enlighten everyone on how they somehow, in your eyes, don’t have control over this country.

Everything you just posted was idiotic, when has the Democrat Party ever cut red tape or streamlined anything other than making welfare payments easier to obtain? Seriously, how old are you?

I’m telling you what the candidates campaigned on & what people voted for.

I also said specifically red tape around housing. There are other areas that need more red tape — like medical providers, industrial consolidation / cartel price fixing behavior, market manipulation and grifting from the White House, and the ability to tweet out monetary policy on a whim.

I appreciate someone from the Democrat side giving me an idea of what they expect.

Hopefully you are right but it seems like what you expect would be the complete opposite of what Democrats have a record of doing in other states.

On housing affordability, Biden policies made construction more expensive. Newsome in Ca made housing construction so regulated and burdensome that if you can afford to build a house it will take 3 years to get the dirt moving.

Thanks to citizen journalist, we have seen the fraud and corruption that originated from single party Democrat rule, but if it turns up fraud in Texas has been just as bad then I am hope it comes out.

Maybe Hinjosa was a moderate and played a far left as a counter to Republicans, but we shall see.

We will get a quick answer soon if she welcomes the "migrants" currently walking to cross the border. Houston already said they are no longer working with Ice so she is stepping in it quick.

Therein lies the problem. The democrats have repeatedly demonstrated that they will campaign on certain platforms to get elected then actually govern in line with their party objectives. Those are not the same

Problem with housing affordability is that a lot of the NIMBY stuff is at the state level, but there are other avenues federally to allow/facilitate more building.

People can say what they want about Talarico… I like what he had to say on housing & in reality he’s one of the most moderate young voices in the party. It sounds like he actually wants to get shite done rather than just play politics.

I think there’s a chance we are just gridlocked until Trump is out. I don’t think he will be willing to work with Congress on anything, but I hope he proves me wrong.

Oh, you sweet Summer child. AKA DUMBASS. The Dems fought Doge every step of the way. But now that they are in charge they are going to go after fraud and waste.

Are you rally that stupid or do you just play retard on the Poli Board?

Wait remind me what DOGE did about market manipulation? A lot of that comes straight from the POTUS Twitter.

Also would you consider the govt overpaying a half billion for a derelict prison facility in Minnesota waste?

You think this admin has been running a tight, clean ship do you? Lol.

There are 5 of them in Congress, as in the first one, the second one, the third one, the fourth one and the fifth one. And they're going to get shoved in a corner because all the Democrats who won in districts that Trump won in 2024 are a more important part of their caucus.

For the supposed party of red blooded American males, there are some serious drama queens around here.

I think that was a serious answer but also incomplete. At the top of their list will be wide-arse open borders and amnesty or as close as they can get to it. Then they'll want them all to vote.

Hopefully not, but I do expect they’ll be gunning to reform ICE. Which I’m fine with that & fine with not sending asylum seekers and non-criminals to places they’re likely to die. Also fine with not targeting people who are trying to follow the rules (and I mean immigration rules and process, not simply people who aren’t otherwise criminals).

I think most dem candidates (and voters) I’ve seen generally understand Biden fricked up on the border & are not looking to repeat that.
