I have this weird feeling that the 6 know the other 3 are retarded and as such they can’t risk siding with them because of the shite show they’d create if given the power to write a majority opinion. Imagine this scenario with birthright citizenship. You believe it’s constitutional but vote against it anyway because that does less harm than having 3 room temperature IQ clowns have a hand in defining American citizenship.

The Second Amendment cannot give way to "the spirit of Aloha" That was well done.

Kagan is incredibly intelligent and thoughtful. Even though I frequently disagree with her, her opinions are always well researched, well argued, and well supported by precedent. If you want to understand progressive views from a non-cultural marxist race-baiter pov, read Kagan SCOTUS opinions.

Sotomayor and Jackson are absolute morons for whom I have zero respect for.

Seems like grounds for impeaching the 3 justices who so flagrantly disregard the Constitution and vote ideologically virtually every time.Thats not how this is supposed to work!

Ridiculously worded law. The way I read it is that if a business truly wants to prohibit concealed carry holders from bringing their firearms, they can still post a clearly visible sign prohibiting firearms from their store. Problem solved if that is your problem. Nobody is forcing "Bruce and Freddie's Beads and Oils" shop to allow guns in their store if they don't want them.

The previous law was just preemptively imposing this ban in businesses that welcomed concealed-carry holders. Ridiculous.

I’ve always been curious about the nexus of “wise Latina”. Who coined this term? I assume it was originally meant as a compliment but then was hijacked?

And are Latinos known for being particularly wise? An old Chinese guy maybe but I’m not understanding the wise + Latina connection.

Jackson dissent, joined by Gorsuch. Wild breakdown of justices here.

Love him or hate him- Gorsuch is the most originalist justice in recent memory

I for one think he’s pretty great

The phrase "wise Latina" refers to a famous and controversial quote by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor during a 2001 speech at UC Berkeley School of Law. She stated: "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life."

Lol , thanks for that.

I’m reminded of my wise European grandad who would advise, “hope in one hand and shite in the other to see which fills faster”

Agreed. I'm not overly confident, but I am hoping.

I don't have an issue if the ruling is not to my liking based on executive order or some other technicality.

My problem is the number of people who actually like the law the way it is currently interpreted and want nothing to change. There seems to be a lot of those people, which is odd, considering the number of people who favor the SAVE Act. I think a lot of it is people are simply confused and their TDS clouds their judgement and they don't even realize they hold contradictory opinions on these two matters.

This should be obvious to everybody, but of course the 3 liberals voted against it. They legislate from the bench and could care less about the constitution.
