The best chess move the Democrats made was to completely lean into releasing the Epstein files. They knew it would cost them plenty of people in their party, but it would cost the Republicans plenty in theirs as well...

And whose voters would feel more betrayed to find their people on an official Epstein list? The conservative right, or the people supporting Trans rights/child sex change/etc?

Trump has always used “the swamp” to his advantage. MAGA acolytes were duped from DayOne.

But first, the attack has to go at the medical industry itself.
Just about any trip to a doctor costs TWICE as much for a person with medical insurance, than it does somebody who doesn't.
That's easy to test. Just tell them you don't have insurance, and then find your medical card after they tell you a price.
Then end this shite of doctors giving false reports to patients for treatments they don't need. Such as the scams some doctors have pulled for chemo therapy on patients who didn't have cancer.
There's more but nobody wants to read a book.

If you want health care costs down, take out the thieves driving the costs up.

Right. So Massie’s point is meaningless. The general public doesn’t give a shite about profligate deficit spending.

If I went out right now, half the people I could talk to would think the government has endless money.
And no concept of how government spending actually affects them.

Tho... Half the people I'd talk to around here are on the gov tit. So there's that too.

Agree.
It's the number one thing all the people I know are worried about. Glaring issue in the Kansas race, for example.

I had knowledge after the Big Beautiful Bill passed in 2025 that the "second shoe to drop" after this mid term would leave the ENTIRE state of Kansas with 1 hospital for the entire state.

My guess this is the true ELEPHANT in the ROOM for Kansas going BLUE for the first time since TAMU won a CFB Natty.

Been saying this since Regan stared this path in the 1980 election. We keep getting distracted in the Republican Party by the much lesser issues and the voters do not openly discuss it, but it is on their radar.

This is an easy message

20% of GDP for GUNS (ECON 101) - Best military
20% of GDP for BUTTER (ECON 101) - Best healthcare
60% of GDP for savings over debt policies

100% for All Americans and no more interest expenses (debt returned to pre Regan levels) and why interest rates were stable from Post World War II to the Oil Shocks of the 1970's that lead to Caters "Malaise" Speech and Regans borrowing like a drunken sailor to win that election.

No matter how you think you feel about Nixon, Ford, and Carter, they got us through the worst decade in American history for transfer, and depletion, of American Industrial wealth and power.

Thomas Massie from the top rope

Massie is incapable of dunking on anyone. He is more to blame for yesterday than Trump is. His incompetence created much of the inability to get things done.

You are really stupid. Massie didn't enact tariffs or start the Iran war. He was opposed to both.

And that was so popular that he must have won his reelection bid in a landslide.

Right?

Was Massie right on the Iran war and tariffs having an effect on affordability? Yes or No?

Yeah. At the margins. It’s more of an ideological position than a solution, though. So that’s a perfect representation of Massie’s legacy.

We’d have the same basic issues without tariffs and without an Iran war because of our shite monetary policy.
