It seems like the helicopter incident is more of an unplanned collision (coincidence) than an intentional shoot down.

I sure the frick know what it means to be in control of something and having an elite helicopter shot down in the area is not being in control. Man yall are some Trump dick suckers on here I fricking despise democrats and fricking despised Biden and I’m sure the frick going to criticize this cluster frick of a war that we are paying for.

Technically, he's correct.
The US could clamp down on all traffic through the strait of Hormuz to zero and while doing so completely crush the Islamic Regime both economically and militarily. The only reason this is not happening is because many inside the US and around the world view the US as the aggressor/bad guys.....the US is supposed to be the good guys. I remember quite well during the Vietnam War when this same tactic was used by the left and it eventually gave the communists a victory in Viet Nam .
This ^^^^ is similar to what is happening right now in the US, the difference is the Viet Nam War was largely unnecessary while the military action against the Islamic Regime is to ensure the world is not facing the uncertainties that come with the Islamic Regime possessing a nuclear weapon or a military that is capable of serious carnage against its gulf neighbors.
