Yeah stumbling Joe was all business. Geezus. Trump gets more business done in a day than most people do in a week.

I’d put money that any gun owning poster goes at least 1/5

I would take that bet. There is a huge difference between shooting at the range and shooting during a crisis.

I'm sure we have many posters here who would go 5/5, but we also have many who, like the SS agent would go 0/5. Does anyone think that people like Bunk Moreland, who cries over narco-terrorists getting blown out of the water running drugs would be able to take someone down in a crisis? Dude would be in the corner pissing his pants.

No, not them, you, nor anyone else in this thread would have either.

Didn't catch that in the video. There's another lady with a pony tail standing right next to whatever that is that fired some shots too.

I guess both were SS, but both did some extremely dangerous and negligent discharging of their firearms

Not negligent if they are firing blanks.

Somebody needs to show where these bullets went so we can dispense with the rumors

“There is no evidence the shooting was the result of friendly fire,” Pirro said on X.

The guy who was supposedly shot had to be shot with either:
1) a pistol
2) a shotgun.

If he didn’t take a 12 ga to the chest then it was friendly fire.

Shouldn’t be hard to show the evidence, right?

I’m having a hard time believing this scenario. On the video the dog alerted to the room, if you zoom in you can see the dog handler was talking to someone. He turns his back and the gunman runs out?

If the USSS is this incompetent they need to clean house, and replace them with someone better.

The USSS is supposed to do site visits/risk assessments, yet other video shows the gunman wandering around various vacant areas of the hotel. It’s pretty inconceivable.

If you guys want to see the bullet casings then travel up to the FBI building in DC and ask their evidence tech if you can see them. You act as if you are owed seeing the evidence before the jury does.

Everything will be shown at trial. There is no conspiracy. Shots were fired and they went somewhere, Law enforcement has all that. What do you want to see, a bunch of small holes in sheet rock or carpet?

They released the video almost immediately. They didn’t hide the video of the incident or the video of him the day before. Why would they release any of that if they were trying to run a scam.

And they do run risk scenarios - for the actual visit. You are hung up on the attacker being able to walk around the hotel before it was secured. Maybe you should ask the Hilton or any hotel why they let their customers just walk around the property. Guess what? Right now there are thousands of random people walking over the inaugural parade route where the POTUS will be in 2 years. Should we close down the roads now? Or should we wait until the actual event happens?

Just wait until they start stopping traffic an hour before a visit and see how quickly everyone whines and complains. Go back and read the articles about his visit to the US Open in September where the press and fans whined for days about having to wait in lines for the mags because he decide to attended. The plan worked because even with the element of surprise and his speed he got grabbed.

Did you take a special class where they trained you to talk out of your arse, or were you born with that talent?

He runs out a split second later.

Why didn't the canine officer turn his dog loose to chase and catch the assailant? I mean, that dog's a lot faster than anyone there.

good question
in my limited experience with working dogs, being a sniffer dog doesn't mean he's an attack dog. it could but not guaranteed. maybe someone with more exp can comment

They are trained to sense even the slightest bit of elevated heart rate and stress through sweat glands and body language. Even your untrained dog at home notices this about you and those it's familiar with, with no training. They are much more observant and intelligent than most people realize, they can sense things like the difference in sweat glands from one second to the next or changes in posture, changes in breathing, changes in heart rate.

They're also trained to smell gunpowder, metal, lead, explosives, even polyurethane. That dog picked up that something wasn't right with the guy - he was undoubtedly nervous and his smell and body language were dead giveaways - and most likely picked up on the gunpowder as well.

I've seen some police dogs do some incredible things, this one picking up on this guy before he even did anything isn't surprising at all.

The shotgun was hidden and he altered the stock to make the shotgun small enough to conceal. The pics of the shotgun were already released so you can clearly see how he altered the gun to fit under his coat. The handler of the dog never saw the gun because it was hidden - that’s why they stripped him after tackling him because he had hidden compartments in his clothes. And the dog is a bomb dog not an attack dog. The guy got lucky that the moment he started sprinting the dog handler’s head was turned and the agent in the suit had his head turned. They had probably been on duty for 8-12 hours at that point and aren’t staring down a hall the entire time especially when all guests are in and the doors are closed and secured.

If the guy would have gotten down the stairs to the next level of security then I’d agree it was cluster but the guy was caught when he first contacted law enforcement. I bet they’ll move the mag checkpoint out further and then the hotel and citizens will complain when traffic and customers not attending will have to wait in long lines just to get into the hotel.
