Worse, that much inaccurate shooting in a crowded environment is a serious danger to innocent people in the area.
A few years back, a disgruntled ex-employee murdered the target of his rage just outside of the Empire State building. NYC cops fired a lot of bullets that missed. As I recall, they injured something like 25 people as a result.
That street is always crowded and is all concrete and glass with lots of places for ricochets and such.

Hmm that’s odd.
Was there evidence that bullets hit anywhere in the room or in the vicinity?

I’d say damn near everyone except the K9 should be relieved of duties
Training overhaul incoming. Weed out the frauds.
Fricking embarrassing

If you watch the video closely, the guy who opened fire, was the first officer to recognize the threat. He had his gun pulled within the assailant taking 7 steps out the door. He was firing at a fast moving, close target, moving horizontally to his position. He got off 3 shots by the time the guy was just passing him.
The suspect emerges from the door at 20:36:40 in the video. The officer reaches for his gun at 36:42 (2 seconds later) The officer had fired 3 times by 36:44 (2 seconds) The suspect was on the ground by 36:49..5 seconds later. The entire incident lasted 9 seconds. The suspect took 9 steps before the officer fired. The officer had fired 3 times before anyone else ever unholstered their weapon.
I would like to see all the billy bad asses in this thread do any better.
The truth is the assailant was neutralized in a matter of seconds at the outer security ring.
The canine officer is the most at fault of all the officers...he is looking directly at the threat for a few seconds before turning to walk off. The dog was much more aware than he was.
The three ladies leaning up against the wall were unarmed TSA agents.

They aren’t firing agents for incompetence and that’s a problem.
They can't. They don't have anyone. The old guard is retiring in droves. Recruitment is abysmal.

“Butler takes the cake for embarrassing because they left a roof wide open”
Butler was an inside job, roof was left open on purpose, the sniper on overwatch was there to kill the sniper after Trump was shot.
There was a reason CNN was there, the only rally they ever attended and filmed.Trump was supposed to get his brains blown out and CNN was there to record it.
Against incredible odds or divine intervention, whatever the plan failed.
I would hope the SS agents on the stage weren’t in on the plan but I wouldn’t bet money on it.

I don't want to be the guy that sounds like the crazy conspiracy theorist here, but my 9 year old could have made that shot.
Found the stupid idiot that has never served a day in law enforcement. Stop watching John Wick movies and you'll realize how hard it is to shoot a moving target under high stress with a pistol.

The K-9 officer needs to be fired. The dog alerted and he didn’t do anything. It’s really crazy that the group charged with protecting the president has gaping holes in it.

More like the first one missed, and the guy hit the floor, 5 bullets come quick, also, if he saw other officers entering the pic, (not sure) he would auto raise his gun. My guess is the cowards was ducking at the first sound.

Sorry people have expectations that the guys charged with protecting the president should be better shots than your average citizen. In fact they should be some of the best trained most lethal people we have.
What we have instead is someone going 0/5 possibly with blanks in his service weapon, we have the K-9 officer not paying attention to his dog. We have guys with their backs turned.
The fact we keep having these near incidents is a black mark on the secret service and our federal law enforcement. It’s a combination of incompetence plus maybe a dash of being political and looking the other way.

The guy tripped and fell down. He took himself out. If he hadn’t tripped he would’ve made it further

It's harder than you think to hit a fast moving target with a pistol when you know it's coming. When you don't, it's that much harder. I can believe they missed that much. After the first shot if you don't know what you're doing you're just making noise and threatening innocent people downrange.

And how did this guy know that Trump would be at the dinner Sat. night when he had never gone to the Correspondents dinner before? This teacher booked a $3k room, likely needing to reserve months beforehand, just on the chance Trump would be there?
Trump confirmed on March 2 he was going to the dinner. Allen reserved room on April 6

In my lifetime I have seen the FBI and Secret Service turn into dumpster fires.

That guy should Never be allowed a K9 partner ever again and should be assigned to traffic. Does anyone understand the hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars wasted because the human handler is a fricking moron. That Malinois followed his training to a T.

I well remember that photo of those dork FBI agents posing as protesters in their starched khakis and buzz cuts. Ivy League ‘James Bond’ role players, and likely what most of the SS is filled with.
A poster above is right, those who protect POTUS should be battle hardened and the best warriors our military has. Trump should address this immediately if he wants to stay above ground. Camo over khakis and suits as it were.
