The XFL needs to compete with the NFL during the same season. They can be the non-virtue signaling football league and give consumers a choice.

No, the problem is people give too much a shite about a game.

Nailed it. Pro sports is a waste of time and energy. It is nothing but fake bullshite and distraction for the masses while we continued to get fricked by the real powers that be.

The problem is the goal is to basically destroy football outright. There is a lot about American football that doesn't jive with the globalist mindset.

For one, it was the one thing that brought us all together.

Anyone notice how this all happened after the XFL and AAF had failed. It's back to business as usual for the NFL. They have no competition and they can just tell their fans "well you have to watch us or you won't be watching football".

And for those of you who say just watch college football. One it's not anywhere near the same level as the pros and two don't think for a second this SJW kneeling stuff isn't going to come down to the college level. You are going to see a ton of black college football players and black college athletes in general kneeling this fall.

Spring football is just never going to work. People need a break from football. A time to go on vacations and do other things they don't want to do on football weekends. The XFL needs to be brought back but do it right, directly compete with the NFL. Play in the fall, have a "let them play" attitude, sign a few big players to big contracts. Directly compete with the NFL and I think the NFL would be surprised just how many fans might leave.

Just don’t watch! That’s the competition.

It is a fun game to watch.

Over the last 5 or so years I've been progressively watching less and less NFL and more CFB. I don't see that trend changing. In fact I see a major drop in my viewership on Sundays this fall. I just bought a new boat so I'll be spending a lot more time on the water on Sundays this fall not having to worry about all the virtue signaling bull shite.

I gave up on the NFL a few years ago. Just tired of it being about everything else other than football.

The only reason I don’t wish for its complete demise is because I want college football to remain competitive for recruits who still want to make it there.

Xfl was going to catch on this time. Coronavirus ruined it.

There will never be a competing league with equal talent. That's not how pro sports works. And if this is about the protests who is to say they won't happen in other leagues?

As is big time college sports

End all athletic scholarships

Give sports back to the student-athletes

The thugs can go back to looting where they belong

Just tune in after the national anthem if it triggers you that much.

Now this I can support.

The question is, can colleges still make the same amount of money without offering scholarships?

I'd say yes. Yes because of traditions.

same as the huge social media sites.

In addition to being big enough to compete, they also have to lure people who can also lure the people they want to keep up with and those people have to lure who they keep up with.

Anybody who says "Start your own sites" is probably a moron.

Eh this is a dumb take. It offers supremely talented people who have worked hard at what they do to have an opportunity for an education and refinement of their craft. The idea that all or even a substantial amount of athletes on college scholarships are thugs is ignorant.

The mob is not a large percentage of the population. Why icons like Brees would cater and cower to the looney mob is amazing. I don’t get it.

It can be done but most people just sell out to the bigger sites. Look at Instagram as an example

It's not a dumb take. The entire Ivy League does not offer athletic scholarships.

This is a valid counter argument.
