NY State was trying to do this in or around 2009. They outlawed Fracking but they were trying to tax the owners of land with minerals. Even though they could not get the minerals.

I don't think you quite understand the meaning of earn like you are using it here.

So should online gambling be taxed at the rate of the payout prior to the event?

that's property taxes

Im also opposed to property taxes for primary homes so I dont disagree.

If you have to pay a "tax" on something you already own to not have someone take it from you I dont believe you actually own it, you are in effect renting it from the entity thats "taxing" you.

Property taxes are nothing like an unrealized gains tax. Silly comparison. They are a wealth tax, yes. Unrealized gains tax they are not.

Hell their old system was arguably worse. The old system didn't look at what you actually earned at all. The government just assumed a fixed percentage return on your total assets (the "flat-rate" or "fictitious return") and taxed you on that number regardless of reality. So if the assumed return was, say, 4% and you had €200,000 in assets, you'd be taxed as though you earned €8,000 even if your investments lost money that year.

The new system is trying to fix that by taxing what you actually earn.

The new system clearly does not do anything to tax you on what you actually earn.

“ How many people died on Jan 6th?”(quote TD4).

A LOT have died since the Biden/Dems cheat was allowed and the Border was opened for 25 million people who will Dem to keep their subsidies miney coming.

Just like the Iranian Jihadists, they will deny, deflect, stall any real cheating reform and hope it works.

There should be zero chance of cheating. Machine or Paper Ballot. Guess which side is not in favor of a verified election. It’s the one that believes that neither Borders and National Citizenship should not exist. Or if so, exist under the Authority of Globalist DEI Principles.

Ha ha. The jig is up no matter who says what or believes what. Patriots know. And just like with the cheating Mullahs, it will get real pretty quick.

For the record, I believe in an empathetic and compassionate government, but with QUALIFIERS for said mercy and judgment. Just like with Biblical principles. No idealistic and suicidal DEI delusion. That is Satanic, IMO.

I’m always amazed at the arrogance of people who lack the intellect to comprehend how colossally terrible this idea truly is.

The entire ideology is rooted in envy. Once considered a deadly sin, but rebranded as “social justice”.

36% tax on unrealized gains.

Would give up US Citizenship if they did this here. This is a bridge too far. There’s a few countries you can buy citizenship fairly fast that don’t even tax capital gains at all.

They beat another MAGA protestor to death, Roseanne Boyland. Also, Kevin Greeson and Ben Phillips died of heart attack and stroke (the chemicals used by police might have exacerbated pre-existing health conditions).

Does the government pay the citizen if a stock crashes and the citizen loses money.

I doubt it. Its a one way street.

Doesn't matter when you pay it on what percentage. It is just another example of large government thirst for funds to buy votes through wealth redistribution. First is will be equities and stock. Then unrealized equity on your home. You can't hate leftist commies enough.
