Sure. You are choosing to gamble. Losses should not be deductible, nor should real estate losses. It will lead to smarter investing and less people abusing the system and propping up garbage investments without an undeserved safety net.

In the end, you earn money, you pay taxes on it. You lose money, that’s on you and your bad choices.
