Not that I don't believe you, but it is a very hard sell considering only 10 states allow it. That would mean assisted suicide is overly heavy in those 10 states. I only did a very quick search after reading your post and didn't see much.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's the point he was trying to make? People in hospice do tend to die very soon after entering hospice, both my great-grandfather and grandfather died within 2 days of entering hospice. The whole point of hospice is comfort, whatever needs to be done to make the patient comfortable is done, regardless of how much it shortens their remaining life. It's de facto MAS, it's just not considered so because it kills you over hours to days and not over seconds to minutes.

Physicians aid patents in the dying process frequently to control symptoms and provide comfort. That’s not the same thing as killing them.

That data is for all suicides in the US. Not just assisted.
Suicide is a major problem in the us. So much so that the left often colors gun crime data with suicides to make the gun violence problem seem dramatically bigger than it is.

The government has a monopoly on the use of justified force, at least thats how it is meant to work.
These are all things they have a moral obligation to undertake to varying degrees as holders of such a monopoly. None of this involves killing innocent people who just happen to be a little sad at this point in their life or may have a terrible illness like cancer.

No I simply just take the medications needed to make living my life more manageable than it would be without them.
