They haven't figured out how to effectively deploy memes in all the years that memes have been a thing.
And even better, they haven't figured out how to neutralize the effective memes used against them. Their "Fat JD Vance" meme aaaalmost had potential, but then JD embraced it wholly and personally turned it around against them. The Right isn't afraid to have a little fun at their own expense, while conversely the Left is so full of narcissism and vitriol that they lack the capacity to engage in comedic self-deprecation.
The political Right has gone from being the most boring party in US history, to being the most hilarious. And it happened in a relatively short timeframe. I am very pleased with this incarnation of conservative America.

Just 9 years ago there were Dems who got this. Hillary supporters embraced "Nasty Woman" just like Trump supporters embraced "deplorables".
